I can appreciate that. Cancer isn't a laughing matter. I have lost family to it myself. But I don't consider the Fisher cracks an affront to those who have cancer. Fisher is ridiculed because he is perceived as having taken advantage of his daughter's condition to make a professional move that he otherwise wouldn't have been able to, at that point. Whether or not he did is irrelevant. The point is, Fisher and his motives are the target of the jokes, not his daughter or her condition.
I am sure you are right but it is being done in a stupid way. Again it is probably because it is still fresh and a sore subject with me.
