The poll wasn't about tanking. I don't want the Jazz to lose on purpose, but if they lose I wont be upset because I would rather have the pick(s). There is so much great talent this year that it will make the Jazz even that much more fun to watch next year and years beyond.

I had to reread that as well. I think spycam1 was implying that if the Jazz lose to GS on Friday, it may cost them the playoffs (or contribute to them missing), but it will also help them get the GS pick (perhaps #8). Another fringe benefit would be the Jazz keeping their own pick, which would likely be #13-#14.

If there's a reason to tank one single game, this is the game. Not saying they should, just that they would get a lot of mileage out of their own loss coupled with the Warriors' 22nd win.
