For the right price, and right years. I don't want to give him a 4 year deal, I would go 3.

I would do it if......

we trade paul or Al and he could be our fourth big!

we get him for a home town discount!

we don't draft a SF!

I like it. Ive always liked AK.

If he could play like he used to then imagine the defense we get with him and Hayward next to each other.

Then we can have all white wings wednesdays.

Um, getting rid of CJ and adding back AK...? Anyone that wouldn't take that is either mildly retarded or a fan of another team in disguise.

AK's D is better
AK's O is better
AK isn't a head case, and
AK knows how to win

WTF is there to discuss?

I did not realise that was the actual choice... in that case yes to AK 15 times out of 10.

i would cut CJ right now and sign AK to a rest-of-season contract if i could. ;)

FWIW, he's also one of three favorites to win the euroleague MVP... as in, not the league MVP where CSKA plays, but the MVP of the entire network of european teams that plays an interleague schedule every year. in early may, AK and CSKA will play in the final four of this year's euroleague tournament, largely because of a 23-and-8 performance in the quarterfinal.

I wonder how he would respond with the young crew and under Corbin. If he stepped up and really provided that vet prescence I would be even more ok with that.

Just for the love of all that is Holy no Miles!!!

This isn't a CJ for AK swap but let's be realistic. With him and Howard gone the roster will need to be filled. So fill it with AK.

I would be ok with this depending on what other options are available. Also only if the mohawk comes back as well.

infact I love it. Imagine how long we would be

So between CJ and Howard they made 6 million this year. So if you can get AK around 4-5 million and then keep Evans and Carrol.

Do it KOC.

His stats aren't exactly jaw dropping.

that's true if you're looking at just his VTB league stats, which are the stats they refer to in that link. that's largely because CSKA dominates so much in that league that AK rarely plays more than 20 minutes in those games. similar story in the russian league, although his stats are better, and in euroleague they're even more impressive.

vtb league stats: 10.8 pts, 5.8 reb, 2.0 ast, 1.2 stl, 1.3 blk, 23.9 mpg, 64% FGs, team is 15-1
russian league stats: 11.2 pts, 5.7 reb, 1.5 ast, 0.9 stl, 1.3 blk, 19.9 mpg, 58% FGs, team is 13-1
euroleague stats: 14 pts, 7.2 reb, 2.6 ast, 1.5 stl, 1.9 blk, 28.9 mpg, 61% FGs, team is 18-2

Some love for AK? Who woulda' thunk it!! You folks never cease to surprise. Sure, i'm for it, he is an unusual player, and most of that's good.

I voted no, like someone else said, I've moved on, but I suppose if he comes way cheap he can be a backup pf. Before I sign off on this I need assurances that he won't have any crying episodes.
