No, according to our President there were death camps in Poland. Which is completely accurate.
I believe he said "Polish Death Camps" which could be interpreted as camps in Poland, or camps ran by the Polish. Obviously the Polish are getting upset because they are taking it as the later, and don't want any connection to it.

Clearly. And I wasn't objecting to how the Polish reacted. I was objecting to Hantlers' characterization of the event.
And for what it's worth I'm a Republican and will very likely vote for Mitt Romney this election.

Yes the left would be freaking out if Bush said that. Just as the right is freaking out now. Either way this is stupid fabricated story by "the opposition". Perhaps Obama used a poor choice of words but at most that is all it is.

Exactly. It frustrates me to no end that stuff like this (and Obama's birth certificate, as another example) draws attention away from the real problems facing this country.

I did find the Polish Foreign Minister essentially labeling Obama as "incompetent and ignorant" very interesting.

No? Why? Because it was Obama who said something people are sensitive to.
To me this is sort of like when terrorist express outrage when a guided missile aimed at the compound of a warlord misses and hits a residential neighborhood, yet the same people justify the intentional killing of innocent women and children. Well, maybe not as serious as all that, but hypocrisy all the same.

This thread is truly the stupidest one ever in JazzFanz history, and that goes for both the critics and defenders of Obama, so far.
President Obama's statement is orders of magnitude more intelligent than the Polish miniisters and others complaining about what he said, and all of you miserable prattlers in here.
The President clearly understood that the Polish people were the ones suffering in the Warsaw ghetto and the death camps. Polish nationals, including Jews. The camps he was speaking about were physically located in Poland, and in the entire context there was no question about the German (Nazi) occupiers being responsible for putting Polish people in there.
I never, never thought I'd see the day when I'd be saying Obama is smarter than JazzFanz.
But here it is.
