Following potential 2012 draftees

Well that would be really silly of the blazers. After 1 the next 5 are realitivly equal and the value is only in tne eye of the beholder.

Actually it makes a lot of sense. Portland wants beal they could get him at 4 the cavs seem to like Barnes they could nab him at 6. Blazers get who the want for a pick they were looking at trading any way. The cavs get Barnes and an earlier pick. Sounds ideal.

Very well said.

You don't give away two lottery picks to move up two spots. Nobody is gtd to be anywhere so I would assume if they just had to have someone this deal could not be consummated until draft night.

If we trade Jefferson to get iggy who are we going to trade to get lillard? Harris? Millsap?

No rush to get Lilliard IMO.
If KOC and crew love him, then he'd be nice but there's no reason to go after him just because we're desperate for a young PG. I don't want us to make a dumb move out of desperation and then regret it later. Again, if he's good....go for it but Harris is serviceable for at least 3 more years and hopefully within the next 2 years we find a long term solution at the PG spot.

Either way, we've got Harris, Tinsley, and Ahearn at the PG spot right now.

Keeping in mind a big portion of that was sarcasm. I like lillard. I would trade the farm for him but I think he will be very good. If he is there at 10 Nola wants a starting pg. that sounds like Harris to me. That would make me nervous going into next season with tinsley and or Watson to start and a rookie pg

Ah....this HTML code helps me detect sarcasm: </sarcasm >

I think mention was made here before about Jefferson + Watson for Iguodala chatter on Sixers' RealGM forum. Seems a bit strange that they'd want to go this direction, but it does address salary flexibility and offensive needs for them. And, reportedly, the idea surfaced from a Sixers insider.

Just noticed this from earlier in the week: "The Warriors ideally would like to deal the No. 7 pick, one of their selections in the 30s and Dorell Wright for an upgrade at small forward." Iguodala seems highest on their wish list. https://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2012/06/06/SP421OT4KO.DTL

If you put these together into a 3-teamer, you'd get
Sixers get Big Al, Watson
Warriors get Iguodala
Jazz get #7, 30 or 35, Dorrell Wright (1 year, $4m left)

Seems strange that this is even a possibility, but these rumors seem to be coming from the other teams and are not just some Jazz fantasy. Would you do this? Would you still want it if Lillard wasn't still available at #7?

For anyone with cap knowledge: is this even possible? Aren't the Warriors too close to the cap?

I'd do it in a heartbeat, but it seems too good to be true. The 7th, 30th, and Wright seems like a a lot for Al and Watson.

Add Richard Jefferson and gsw does it in a heartbeat.

Ah yes, the Karl & John are going to be here forever so there is no desperation to surround them with talent now so lets just sit back and draft Eric Leckner model. I could see the Jazz doing this with their stable of youngins. They will all be here for 20 years so there is no need to rush. Furthermore, the OKC model of getting three high draft picks in three consecutive years is so over hyped, and completely unproven. [/sarcasm]

Go Jazz.

The Clippers tried the OKC model for years. Just because it worked for OKC doesn't mean that every team will get lucky with there picks like OKC. If not for everyone thinking Greg Oden was that once in a life time center, Durant would be a Blazer, and OKC may not be playing for a chip this year.

OKC Model: Get super lucky and have a Kevin Durant in the draft. Additionally, have it so Kevin Durant goes #2.

Cy: Thought you may have at least moderate interest in knowing that Memphis is working out Dee Bost .. and they only have the 25th pick. Maybe looking at him as an undrafted? Heard this from Doron.

Chatter on the Philly message board is saying that the Jazz and Sixers have been discussing Iguodala for Jefferson. Guy claims to be an 'insider' with the Sixers.

Lillard said he interviewed with the Jazz during the combine. Hopefully, this is a sign that we're angling for a top-10 pick.

It's probably some one from here that's messing with us and the 76ers fans

Nice, I think he can be a backup somewhere if he gets a shot. I don't know if it's a correct comparison, but he reminds me of CJ Watson.
