Following potential 2012 draftees

Boom Bitches!!!!
I was right.

As many suspected, there was an issue w/the original measurements the NBA released. Standing reaches were off by .5 to an inch. We're fixing

How do you know they weren't .5'' too high?

If Scott Machado is available at 47 do you take him?

If you have to choose between Marshall and Lillard, who do you take?

FWIW, there are reports that T. Jones outplayed PJIII in a workout for GSW.

Crap. I was hoping T. Jones would fall to somewhere the Jazz could get him. I figured all the GS love for T. Jones was only because the knew the Jazz wanted him and were hoping to drive the price up on the #7 pick.

I am not surprised to see Terrence Jones shoot up draft boards. He's the type of player that will shine in measurements and workouts. There are only a few players in the draft with a size/skills/athleticism package as impressive as his. He's the "good" kind of tweener, in my opinion - he can play either the 3 or 4. He's not the type that can't really play either (lack of size for the 4, lack of athleticism for the 3).

Given how stacked UK was and the hype for all of the freshmen, he was slept on this season. If the attitude isn't a concern, he should be a top 8 pick in my opinion.

I somehow feel bad for the kid. He was mishandled/parented/advised since he was 14 years old. I blame those people for the 'man' he has become vs. the man he could have become. Sad, really. So much talent, so poor guidance.

Not breaking news, but with Lillard seeming to climb in the mocks (now Ford has him #6 to Portland), it's seeming less likely that the Jazz will have any shot at him (assuming they might want him). Hoping for the best for his career (since I'm a Weber grad), but it would hurt to see him blow up in Portland.

He is old enough to be taking responsibility for himself now though. Kind of embarrassing that he refuses to do the work it takes.

Scott machado in the second round! Enough said.

IMO Machado is going to be huge bust. I doubt he can guard anyone in the league. I doubt he can get into the paint against anyone in the league. I doubt he will be able to score the ball. So that is basically 3/4 of a point guards responsibility.

For example if BYU can press you for a whole half, you are not an NBA level PG. (And I am BYU fan.)

Thing is talented big guys like Sidney get chance after chance. If ever figures it out he will get a big time payday.

Can a late 2nd rounder ever be considered a "big bust"?

That's what I was thinking as well. No one is saying he's going to be great .. therefore, not much room to disappoint.

I don't see him every playing in the league. He might be drafted and sit on someone's bench. It is more likely that is undrafted and cut in someone's training camp.
