Deng says being traded would not surprise him: https://espn.go.com/chicago/nba/story/_/id/8090830/chicago-bulls-luol-deng-says-surprised-trade

Lowry wants out

Plus the Jazz give the Bulls a future 1st round pick

Why the Bulls do it: They get two scorers for one plus both are expiring contracts. Deng may be the best player but expiring contracts equals more cap space to sign another stud next to Rose. Adding Harris gives him a starting PG while Rose is out. CJ Watson said he wanted to explore free agency and the Bulls would probably lose him anyways. Makes sense for them to deal him now. Plus they get a future pick. Rip and Jimmy Butler are playing well which makes Brewer expendable

Why the Rockets do it: Lowry wants out, Big Al = Kevin Martin but he's better. Brewer adds defense and he could start at SG next to Parsons/Budinger. CJ Watson gives them a backup for Dragic since they want to sign him long term.

Why the Jazz do it: This is obvious, we get rid of Big Al and Harris plus we get quality players backs at the positions we need (SF and PG). Lowry has a great contract while Deng is slightly overpaid, but it's only two more years and he adds defense.

Lowry/Watson/Tinsley
Hayward/Burks/William Buford
Deng/Hayward/Carroll
Millsap/Favors/Evans
Favors/Kanter

So........we get the two best players of this entire deal and the other teams get mostly crap?
Where do I sign?

The other two teams get 100% cap flexibility heading into 2013 and we don't. Rockets get rid of a chucker but add a better chucker which is a plus and they get quality players for a guy who wants out of Houston anyways. Bulls get a future pick also. I think this trade is pretty fair for all teams.

Hey, if they like the deal I'm super cool with that.
Deng solves our SF problem. Lowry solves our PG problem and both are real good solutions.

I really like both of those players but more is needed. The Rockets like Big Al but would probably ask for Kanter, which is fine if we get Deng and Lowry in the deal
