I hate to say it, but I agree with this. Olympics is 21 yrs. and below. From a pure sport perspective, World Cup is the supreme. Olympics is pretty cool, but if the World Cup was any other format besides country vs. country, I'd say the Olympics would have it.

No reason to hate to say it. It's true, the best players play in the World Cup/Euro Cup. However, the national teams normally do not have the cohesiveness of club teams. I would argue that the elite club soccer is the technically the best soccer played in the world. Yet, it doesn't have the emotions running through it like the World Cup provides. The World Cup is in a class by itself.

I can agree with that! I watched Real Madrid play Santos two weeks back in Vegas and the Real players played the best soccer I have seen in my life!
