I do not believe that the actors were clueless. They are trying to protect themselves. But yes the Director is a sleaze.

Which US government official leaked his name, to whom, and how would the UD government even know it? Are you referring to the "Sam Bacile" pseudonym, which was the name used to load the videos into YouTube, and are yo sahying it is even sensible to refer to a YouTube username as being "leaked"? Since in that web post, Lach doesn't even have his name, when was this leak made?

His movie is the excuse they are using for justification of their actions. So I think comments about the director making garbage material into movies is legitimate subject for this thread.

However if not his movie the rioters than would have found something else. They alone are responsible for their actions, not the director. Even if he is a sleaze.

The person who was supposedly leaked by the US Govt. (I forget his name already - something Middle Eastern) already copped to being involved in the film to an AP Repoter.

For what it's worth, while he admits involvement, he claims he is not the actual pseudonym person.

I am not a fan of withdrawing from the world. However I would be open to the idea of reducing our presence in the M.E. dramatically. Maybe down to Saudi Arabia, Isreal and Kuwait.
