So says Dennis Lindsey.

Don't feel like posting the link and if this has already been posted/mentioned, I apologize, but I don't see a thread anywhere on it.

Anyway, great news. Bell won't be present to infect our youth once camp starts.

I see your SI link and raise you a link from the Utah Jazz website itself in what may be Lindsey's first ever official press release as the Jazz GM

[h=1]Jazz Statement on Raja Bell[/h]
SALT LAKE CITY (September 28, 2012) – Utah Jazz general manager Dennis Lindsey issued the following statement today regarding guard Raja Bell:
“I have spoken with Raja and his representative, Herb Rudoy, and we have mutually agreed that although Raja remains under contract, it is in the best interest of all parties that he not re-join the team next week when the Jazz begins training camp. We will now move forward focusing on Jazz basketball and our preparation for the upcoming season. We will have no further comment on this matter.”

"The Utah Jazz will not allow disgruntled guard Raja Bell to join the team for training camp even though he remains under contract and they haven't been able to agree on buyout terms.

Utah Jazz general manager Dennis Lindsey issued a statement Friday on Bell, who has publicly feuded with coach Tyrone Corbin.

Lindsey says in his statement that he has spoken with Bell's agent and they mutually decided it is in the "best interest" of both sides that he not rejoin the team.

The 35-year-old Bell is set to make $3.5 million this season, his last year under contract with the Jazz.

But he said at the end of last season that he didn't want to play for Utah this year and was critical of Corbin and the organization."

The wording in this article sure makes it sound ugly.

Conflicted. Definitely don't want him on the roster or the team but it really chaps my *** that we're making it easy for him. Sure, we're not buying him out and letting him go play somewhere else (pending interest), but imagine if your employer told you "Hey, don't come in to work for the next year. You can still pick up your paychecks but just don't come in."
