The wild card game thingy is fuzzing retarded. Fluky.

I don't follow baseball super close and I didn't know they were doing that this year. I thought there were two legit one game playoffs (ya know, teams tied at the end of the regular season) and was all kinds of pumped to watch them, only to find out it was just a dumbfest.

Worse is the format for the Division Series. How the owners signed off on the format that gives the lower seed the first two home games is beyond me. Not only does that put pressure on the higher seed, it also only guarantees them one home game. And these guys are bajillionaires.

I also think the infield fly rule needs to be clarified. WTH is "normal effort" anyway?

I thought it was a good call. The mistake was the shortstop thinking Holliday would be there to catch it. An infielder should take any chance to make sure Holliday is nowhere near the ball on defense.

I could be wrong, but I think I read that the division series is 2-3 for this year only because the TV schedule was already in place before the wildcard games were added.

That's because the Yankees require a contract signed in blood and your soul to be able to purchase tickets. That being said, please Nationals.... Please god.... Let the Nationals beat the Cardinals. It's tough enough being a Cub fan with so much misery without having to add in the possibility of a Cardinal repeat.
