Following potential 2013 draftees

COLLEGE GAMEDAY

Tomorrow (Saturday) at 7pm (Mtn) on ESPN - Kentucky vs. Missouri

Should be a good game between two teams with lots of talent and fighting to make the tournament.

But most of all, catch some potential 2013 draftees! ;)

It's going to be a blowout.

This seems like a slippery slope fallacy.

"Player A suffered a knee injury like player B, therefore he will inevitably have as bad a career as player B."

Guys recover from these injuries all the time. I believe someone on Jazzfanz recently posted an article that showed nowadays guys recover from ACL tears in the 95 percentile range.

There was the whole thing with his legs being significantly different lengths too, and the fact that he was a heavy center. I would think those things factor into the equation of knee injury recover.

The game you should watch is Georgetown vs. Syracuse at 3 pm central on CBS.

Watch Otto "Black Moses" Porter clown on clowns.

No, Ryan Harrow sucks. Kabongo > Harrow.

Harrow's new coach, John Calipari, was very clear about what he expects from his starting point guard recently. “I want Ryan to be the best layup shooter in the SEC,” Calipari told Kentucky reporters. “I don't need any cuteness. Get to the basket, shoot layups. If they absolutely back off like they tried to play Marquis Teague, he shoots it a little bit better. But I want you to shoot layups, and that's what you're doing, which means you've got to play through bumps and keep going.”
-dx (if he follows those instructions, hes good)

i really dislike mizzou and pressey and oriahki, they were the one thing that stopped my bracket last year from truley being prestine.

kabongo still looks as lost to me as he did last year. which was the same way harrow looked at the beginning of this season.

my biggest ?'s with harrow are this Freethrows and him being listed at 168lbs(but i dont think anyones drafting harrow,to play him now) my intuition tells me they weighed him with boots on, in soaking wet cotton.

Harrow's biggest problem is he's weak. Physically and mentally.

Having said that, I don't know wtf Calipari told him prior to the Vandy game, but Harrow was in everybody's face (Vandy's) and nearly got into a couple fights .. very outside his normal character of being laid back and fragile. Interesting to see if Cal gets him to keep playing with the same 'want-to', desire, and fire.. I have my doubts.

reminds me of lance stephenson, not in skillsets. in the if he's a 2nd rounder, hes certainly got 1st round potential sense.

obviously theres major differences(mainly attitude and nba frame). still the knicks took andy rautins over hometown-hero stephenson, honestly i called bs on that draftnight, i was furious... andy rautins?!? (the story was he was in with d'antoni over some Italian connection[as was gallinari])

PKM don't think you've ever discussed Steven Adams. He is raw but has true center size and above average athleticism. Having a decent rookie year. He would likely only be in play if both Al and Paul walk.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=GpnqLsaFRA8

from what ive seen, he has way above average athleticism. i watch pitt closely, i love big east basketball. i think he maybe as strong as kanter. other than lord humongous @FSU(michael ojo) i havent seen someone who consistently has people falling all around him, like kanter does.

now adams is not that skilled, but hes very young. heres my biggest question with adams, this draft is top-heavy with C's (Noel, Zeller, Austin, Len are considered the 'top teir' c's) i ask this,

is it the best '2nd teir' Center class in a while (Adams, Gobert, Olynyk, WCS)... a ty lawson, jrue holliday 09 draft situation, where they are really just 2nd teir because of the breadth of talent ahead of them. i really like this years centers, i dont care for drafting for need, BPA, BPA, BPA

EDIT: nice vid vs noel but his body is considerably more developed now, heres a pic from the addidas nations camp this summer, the reports were he was by far the strongest big guy there. i really want to see if he measures legit 7' like they say he is, and wingspan/standing reach.

I think he doesn't get it. He's got great size and good athleticism, and maybe he's gotten a whole lot better in the recent couple months (but I doubt it)... but he's not only raw, but just doesn't show me he's going to get tons better to be real effective at the NBA level.

Wow, I just looked at DX and see they have him #7 in 2014. I would be $1,000 he doesn't go that high .. make it $10,000.

I'm definitely a BPA guy .. agreed.

id NEVER take adams in the lotto, he seems to me like a vastly less skilled kanter so i could never justify a lottery pick... as a falling prospect in the late teens early 20's maybe worth a flyer, his rebounding WILL translate, he makes weak bigs look flimsy.

i disagree with the no upside argument because he hasent been exposed to basketball like he would have over here in the states, hes got lots to learn, with him ultimately i need to see the measurements. worth keeping an eye on tho, imo.

Yeah, there was that. Oden just had the worst luck in the world. I mean, has anyone ever had that many knee injuries back-to-back-to-back-to-back?

Hayward?

His DX write-up is your basic "Hey, this guy is white and good at basketball" write-up. High IQ, good shooter, works hard, questionable athletic ability.

It's at Missouri, right? If so, blowout in favor of Missouri.

If it's at UK, then yeah, probably a close game.

It's at UK. ESPN Game Day.

how do you veiw the WCS, Oriahki matchup? i really dont like oriahki. hes dirty, undersized, not that skilled, im hoping WCS sizes him up and blocks him early and often

left his team as a co-captain. f that guy, give me ante tomic over him.

https://www.bloguin.com/runthefloor/2012-articles/april/douchebags-of-twitter-vs-alex-oriahki.html

Alex has the experience. This will be WCS's 3rd career start.

My prediction is Alex will get his, but nothing big .. and it will be apparent WCS is the better pro prospect.
