Jazz (31-26) vs Hawks (32-23) @EnergySolutionsArena 2/27/13 @7 PM-MT

Favors and Kanter are definitely not ready yet.

Favors is close.

Kanter needs another year.

Maybe kanter would be ready for next year if he had recieved more playing time this year and last year..... also maybe not, i guess we will never know. But at least most of us have got to lose alot of our love for watching jazz basketball. So at least there is that

Maybe but he was not blocking people out for rebounds he was jogging slowly up and down the court. He put his hands up for a pass and if it didnt come he slumped and walked away. I was not impressed with someone who wants to be a starter. On top of that if he was trying not to get in foul trouble he should not make stupid fouls for no reason like reaching around on rebounds that are secure that he has no chance to poke the ball out on.

Fair question:

What have coaches and other players (Al) done to show Favors that he has to do those things?

No matter hat any young kid does, they aren't going to play unless an injury happens. So why try?

I didn't get to see the game. How did Josh Smith put up such big numbers on Favors? Was Favors guarding him?

Separately, our bench outscored theirs by 20 pts.

Their starting guards outscored our starting guards by 20 pts. So call it even, I guess.

The difference was that Horford and Smith went ballistic.

I dont disagree that coaching staff can be to blame. I just thought that he would have more personal pride to put a full effort in. I wish more players played like Carroll and gave their full effort all the time. Every player we have except maybe Carroll and Hayward half *** their screens.

Favors played a LITTLE lazy AT TIMES, but had some amazing defense also..... smith was hitting shots he normally misses alot tonight (he hit contested 3, and a really tough hook shot with favors playing great defense), combined with favors trying to help guard jeffys man for him and stop guards that blew by thier defenders, and trying to stay out of foul trouble (the refs seem to hate favors every game), plus kanter and williams both guarded smith for a little bit.
So he was not as bad on defense as some would say he was, but smith is a tough matchup for him and he was a little lazy at times.

how many championships has jazz basketball won?

my knicks dont play knicks basketball and theyve won 2, i hate the melo, amare, tyson trio, cant root for that team if i tried

then go root for another team.
miami plays "championship" baksetball.
okc does too go root for them.

I WANT jazz basketball.
thats why i am a jazzfan.

if you dont know the definition of jazz basketball. you are in the wrong place

Our free-throw woes didn't help.

Looking at the highlights, it seems Josh Smith was guarded by SFs on his highlight plays.

It goes without saying that Teague roasted Earl Watson. Our PG play basically has us going 4 on 5 a lot of the time, which puts more pressure on everyone else.

first off i know what 'jazz basketball' is and im not impressed, moving forward i like our chances, but the history here is that of a loser...

im not a front-runner. the jazz are 150:1 and have won 0 championships, i like underdogs, not favorites.

question for ya, why is jazz basketball, championship basketball moving foward?

and do you subscribe in staying in stasis in the 'jazz basketball' system?

are you familiar with the idiom "adjust or be adjusted to"?

watson was extra painful to watch tonight, holy crap.

when we had a 3:2 break and he tried to get to the rack and got the charge, i had to get out of my seat and pace a bit.

he looks like hes just trying not to get blocked, not trying to get the shot in... nightmare game for earl.

Kanter does not need another year.
he just needs to LEAVE this organization and play some bball somewhere else.
he has shown more than enough that he was ready this year.
Seeing that his PT does not change, why should he bother?

Jazzball is AFAIK good and disciplined execution, 100% effort in D and O, and Stockton's screens to big guys in the paint so his beloved peer Malone get his ball and score.
Jazz had a championship but you remember that push? (by the so-called GOAT?)

Well we've seen what Big Al can do without Sap, and it isn't pretty.
I recall 4 games or so over the past two years that Big Al was out.

Out team looked MUCH better with Sap minus Al.

I get a really strong sense of sexual angst emanating from every Dutch post about Al. Dutch must have had his heart broken by a man of similar sense and style. I can't think of any other explanation for his fascination with the Big Weezy.

Accurate and clever theory. Thank you for sharing the intelligence.

would you knidly delte this post before more people find out the truth.
i have been trying to keep it a secret for YEARS.
so lets keep this between me and you and the posters who have already read it.
please delete asap.
my secret must remain in a close knit group

Your secret is safe with me as the Jazz rim is safe Al guarding it.

lmao. good one turd.

Multiple-personality disorder case right here.

You don't think Michael Jordan is the GOAT?

don't know if it has been mentioned, but has anyone else read lockes breakdown of this game?

I can't take him seriously anymore.

You shouldn't. His comments started to sound like olive oil spilling through a hole in a lamb meat since Tyrone Corbin made it clear the young players are not gonna get their well deserved minutes.
