Following potential 2013 draftees

ive already discussed my trade up targets especially Poythress and Austin. heres a scenario for Shabazz

Lets say Millsap S+T + the 2 first rounders for sake of ease, in return for the rights to draft:

I REALLY REALLY REALLY like BURKS/MUHAMMAD starting back-court Hay can play 6thman 2/3 thats the roto, you can give them all 30+ mins...

now im biased with lefties i literally put like a 5% higher bell curve for lefties, ima lefty, ive played sports. when your lefty and can start from the top corner of the right wing, and you can drive left, and if no one can stop you, without sending help.... watch out... thats why ive said repeatedly over and over Crafty Lefty like harden

i could go on i want to see what you guys think of this though, shabazz seems like a defense breaker to me, i have him #1 overall

Being a lefty is only an advantage if no one has you scouted. Yeah, when you play pick-up basketball you always assume the guy you are guarding is better going to his right, so a lefty surprises you. I don't buy that it's a huge advantage in the NBA. CJ Miles is left-handed, that guy freaking blows.

McCollum does look exactly like Foye in terms of game doesn't he. Better ball handler perhaps and more of a true 1, but a lot of similarity. Interesting.

That sounds odd to me. Foye could barely shoot when he first came into the league. He was one of those guys who was compared to Dwayne Wade due to his athleticism.

I would be surprised if we actually pick 2 players in the 1st round this year that both play for the Jazz next year. My money is on us trading both to move up, packing 1 with Sap/Jefferson in a S&T to get another player, or using 1 of them to pick a Euro and keep them in Europe.

I don't think we can sign and trade anyone until free agency, which is after the draft. Also, if we want McCollum or Burke we'd better get a pick in the lottery.

CJ miles and Shabazz Muhammad is who your comparing...

ok

I Have Shabazz #1... i had Harden maybe 5th that year, he didnt stand out to me over Tyreke Evans, Hasheem Thabeet, or Ricky Rubio. and had him very close to Steph Curry, Brandon Jennings and I honestly had Ty Lawson as a top 10 worthy guy, i had Harden lumped in with those guys.

Shabazz to me is clearly the #1 with a nice gap between second place. say what you want about lefties and pick-up games thats not what i was talking about, i said its worth 5% in the learning curve, not something palpable that every lefty has, but some understand the nuances and advantages of driving left from the right side of the court, or being able to tippy-toe the baseline differently. also on a basketball court when you face up a righty, your dominant hand is up against their dominant hand, except lefties are 10% of the population... so the lefties repetition of playing righty dominant players will be very common and the other side of the equation will be the inverse... just my thesis, you could never disprove it, to me.

and id drive left and dunk on you IRL if we're gonna be bringing up pick-up basketball like i said its relevant

Not to be one of those people, but man, you need to capitalize the 1st letter of new sentences. It would make your stuff a lot easier to read.

I don't think the Jazz will have to move up for McCollum.

Maybe, my point is, if there is someone they like who they project to possibly be picked before them, I think they will try to package both picks to get that player, not hope he falls. I think they will be aggressive in doing so. And if they fail to do that, they will trade one of them away for something else or draft a Euro (or maybe trade that pick for multiple picks in the future and 2nd round to draft Euros as projects?).

Isn' that part of the San Antonio model? Draft a **** ton of Europeans and keep them in Europe. Bring them over when you are ready so you have cheap talent that is mature enough to contribute as role players?

This.

Also, maybe there's a possibility of packaging assets for a 2014 pick?

you think scouting helps people defend brandon jennings going left? see when he starts going right he always works his way back left by the end, somehow.

Seeing as Brandon Jennings only shoots 40% from the field, it would appear scouting has somehow helped people stopped Brandon Jennings going left.

Should I post some videos of Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan going right to prove how dominant right handed players are?

His stock might be a bit low with the injury. It depends on how he recovers and if he's able to do workouts.

Not much. He was putting up godly numbers that would have been hard to maintain, and his last 3 years were all pretty darn good.

Don't get my hopes up.

i kind of see that lineup like burks rushing the ball up the court and shabazz getting dumped the ball, and going into triple-threat at his own pace, like harden or melo.

I also fully expect Shabazz to be NBA Ready from Day 1. and Low T/O's he plays with great pace/vision

Would you give up Burks or Hayward as part of the deal to get Bazz? I know I would.

Millsap (S+T) + Burks + both 1st rounders
