Following potential 2013 draftees

I thought Cousins was the better player coming out of college then Favors was and I still believe that. WCS is my favorite player in this years draft no doubt, it would be amazing if the Jazz let Big Al and Millsap walk and drafted WCS.

If KOC decides to go BPA and somehow passed on Burke, WCS would be one guy I'd be happy with him taking.

I agree with all of that.

People can hate on Cousins, but he's a great talent.

That's what I mean, WCS is more athletic/big/stronger than Davis, and he seems to have more finesse than Cousins.

If he develops properly he could "potentially" be better than both of those guys.

He has the body and athleticism to suggest so .. but that is an awfully tall order.

It would be easy to surpass Cousins IMO - Cousins just doesn't have the motivation to improve, play team bball or even to win.

To surpass Davis would be harder because he is a fighter and he could get better very quickly. However WCS is much bigger/stronger that I think he could at least match the level of success Davis could achieve (provided WCS has the right character - interviews/psycho test would reveal this).

WCS kinda reminds me of Brendon Fraser in the movie "The Scout". He's raw and doesn't know yet that he's just wayyyyyyyy better physically than most of his opponents. When he finally realized that and has the skills to match it, he could be scary good.

I think this thread is officially half as long as the 2012 draftees thread. We've been slacking, guys.

I also wanted Brandon Knight instead of Enes Kanter, honestly I had Kanter #4 on my big board and Favors #5 but hey what do I know.

BPA is cool and all, but you don't strictly follow BPA to a tee. If you had Stein ranked 8 and Burke ranked 9 (or whatever you may have them ranked, but with 1 or 2 slots of each other) you would still take Burke because he fits a positional need.
