To Jbradshaw's defence the other Watson thread wasn't on the 1st page.

Watson is average. Don't hate him like Hart, but he offers nothing special other than his experience.
Gaines looked bad in summer league, but he's fine for a back up. Talent wise there is NOT a huge difference between the two.
Both are average back ups. Either one will do, and neither is Hart or Milt. We win.

Dude, come on. You're comparing a FRINGE scrub to a proven NBA player. The two are not comparable. The only thing that would be comparable would be their playing time if they were both on the team.

If you end up being right, it's because Watson will have gotten a lot worse and Gaines a lot better.
 
Wow, didn't think we would end up with him. He is a good signing IMO. Just as long as he doesn't turn out like Hart or Knight.

That's not sarcasm, this is great so long as a Mark Jackson situation doesn't emerge. I really, really did not see this coming. Unlike almost every other offseason, this one has been filled with a lot of surprises with potential to be awesome (with some potential for some implosion as well). While we're on a roll, grab Kyle Weaver too!

I agree 100%. I really like the veterans the Jazz are bringing in to help balance our young core.
Watson is great on D him and Bell can be pretty intimidating defense wise in the backcourt
