Following potential 2013 draftees

Texas wins 70-57 against TCU and keeps their very slim chance of winning the conference tournament alive, which is their only shot at the NCAA Tournament. Myck Kabongo finishes (4-7 from the field, 8-9 from the free-throw line) with 16 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds, and 1 steal.

Rajon Rondo's scouting report coming out of college:
A lightning quick point guard with the ability to penetrate seemingliy at will. Has incredible body control and takes the ball to the basket and finishes exceptionally well for a PG. Rondo has a scorers mentality, but also passes the ball well especially on the dribble drive. Owns great ball handling skills which become lethal combined with his quickness. He has progressed into a solid shooter, but not a great shooter yet. His quickness has made him a very difficult player to defend.
Myck Kabongo's scouting report coming out of college:
An extremely quick guard, and really excels on the move and looks good in transition. Excellent ball-handler who doesn’t have many problems getting where he needs to on the floor when you add in his speed and shiftiness. Kabongo is a pretty good athlete, with nice agility, leaping ability, and body control on top of his aforementioned speed and quickness. He is a pure point with outstanding playmaking skills, a lot of moxie, good leadership skills, great handle, and quickness.
Not saying Kabongo will become an all-star like Rondo, but I do see a lot of similarities in their respective games.

They are light years apart.. that it's not funny.

Rondo played totally under control, rebounded HUGE.. and made ZERO mistakes (spare me TO's).

Kabongo deserves no mention in the likes of Rondo. Bongo can be good if has (or does) play with patience/poise, but he doesn't play chess.. he's more of a checkers guy.

That's why Rondo was drafted 21st huh?

Rondo was drafted 21st, that's all I'm trying to say. Against Iowa in the second game of the season in 2005 Rondo got 19 rebounds!

Gotcha. I watched Rondo and Bongo in HS and in college .. regardless of anything else, they were not comparable at any stage. Rondo always had 'it.'

funny I am still hoping for a double pg draft. or a pg and a big but there isn't any sf that excite me. poythress can but we don't need another passive player. we could just keep Marvin for that.
