Following potential 2013 draftees

Me talking to casual Jazz fans:

We must know some of the same people because there can't be that many stupid people, right?

There can be lots of stupid people. Lots. Like, when people ask me about the Jazz I usually just say something simple like, "I'm still frustrated they won't fully commit to the youth movement." I can't tell you how many people don't even know what I mean by "youth movement." I basically try to avoid all conversation about the Jazz outside of Jazzfanz, except for a very select few friends.

To give you an idea, here's a quote from someone maybe two months ago:

"So, I hear that Favors guy you really like has been doing well. What position is he again? Point guard, right?"

There are only like 4 teams I could even see taking a pg, those being Magic, Hornets, Kings, Mavs, and I figure at least one of those will go for a BPA pick.

I wouldn't be surprised to have MCW still available but I'm not convinced the Jazz would take him. I have been very unimpressed basically every time I've watched him.

Magic will take Smart (tick)

Hornets will take pass on Otto? (no tick)

Kings will pass on Oladipo? (no tick)

Mavs will take MCW or Burke (tick)

In my estimation, we'll still get one of MCW or Burke.

Same with me. I almost lost a friendship because my friend told me that Jefferson is the only reason that the Jazz are winning games. Yea, like I said, our friendship almost ended.

The Pistons may take one of those guys too. Brandon Knight is not the answer at point for them and I doubt Calderon's in their long-term plans.

Doubt MCW would be taken even if he's still on the board with the GS pick. They'll wait til next year.

At the moment, Magics picking #1, Detroit picking #2...

Let's say one of the pick Smart, I doubt the other team would not pick Noel/McLemore/Shabazz.

Dallas won't draft a PG. And if they do, they won't draft Burke.

Burke is similar to Collison, and they already have Collison and don't like him that much. The Mavs have enough perimeter shooters to have a non-shooter at PG. I think they would go MCW over Burke if they decided to take a PG. MCW would give them something they don't really have which is an attacking wing athlete.

makes sense & hope you're right

MSU with two players on the SEC All-Freshman team.

UK had 4, but they are all clown face 1-and-doners.
