Best Hamburger

Love their fries. Burgers are meh.

Wow total opposite. Their fries are only edible when ordered well done. But I guess not total opposite, as I think their burger is just a step above meh. Makes it better to order it animal style with hot peppers.

My personal favorite is the Pastrami Burger from Training Table. I don't really do burgers from places that aren't drive-thru fast food. I haven't eaten at In'n'Out in years, and never in Utah. Don't live close to a JCW's, so haven't tried them (but really want to).

Fuddruckers was the best one in Orem, until it closed about 1.5 years ago. :-(

Red Robin in Provo is the best in the area I've had since then; sadly it's not at all close to where I live.

I'll have to try that, only 10 mins away. Thanks for the rec.

Yep, I drove past it just a couple of weeks ago. Been several years since I've been there, and I can't really remember what the burgers were like. Good root beer, though. :)

Those can't really even be called burgers. Very meh. But at least you do have Doner Kebabs! :)

Anyone else botherer by all this post-whoring?

Really, no other mention of Lucky 13? Y'all need to go to a Bee's game, grab a burger and then kindly rep the hell out of me.

Okay.. I can already hear the jokes coming.... but there is a great build-your-own-burger joint in Louisville, KY..

Do we have any of these build-a-burger places in Utah? The ones I've been to were awesome too. Choice overload to be sure though - it's definitely possible to build a crappy burger if you don't know what's what(like I don't).

So I always hate my homemade burgers. It's so simple and as I'm making it I think it's going to be awesome. Then it isn't. How do you guys season your patties? When I was a kid my dad made really good burgers and I think he only put salt and pepper on them before grilling.

I love this stuff. My burgers get a good shake of this each time I turn them, along with some pepper. Throw some cheese on it and, my new favorite condiment, Heinz jalapeno ketchup and whatever veggies float your boat and you have a great burger. One other key to great burgers on a grill is to get nothing less than 85-15, preferably 80-20. 90-10 and your grill is gonna dry them out too much.

Troutbum introduced me to that stuff at one of Gameface's poker nights and I became addicted for several months.

It's been a long road to recovery and your selfish posting actions may have just triggered a re-lapse.

Want some candy? Just a taste...

Thread that would not get past 1 page:

"Meals that Tony Chacheres Creole Seasoning would not taste good upon."

Hires Big H is another favorite. There fry sauce is on the burgers and their fries and root beer are bomb.

Also the legendary Garlic Burger in Cottonwood. Its at that bar right next to The Tuscany restaurant.

The Cotton Bottom. THE best garlic burger! Nothing comes close.

Lucky 13 has some epic burgers too. Just say no to chains!

I've been mixing ketchup and Mrs. Renfro's Jalapeno Green Salsa for a long time. Great on a variety of things, perfect for tater tots.

My recipe for the best Burger at home:

-Salt and pepper grilled patty on a charcoal grill

-Thick cut applewood smoked bacon. (Get this from the butcher at the grocery store)

-Sauteed muchrooms and onions with butter, salt and pepper, a little garlic and parsley.

-Blue cheese dressing and real blue cheese crumbles.

Making the burger: thin layer of blue cheese dressing on both buns, then the meat, bacon and mushrooms. Then add the blue cheese crumples on top of the mushrooms and enjoy.

Obviously you need to love blue cheese for this burger.

A little off topic (since they don't make hamburgers) but I love arbys.
Good roast beef (beef and cheddars are the bomb... love that red ranch sauce on em), great chicken sandwiches (love the chicken bacon swiss and the chicken cordon blue), really good au jus for the French dips, tasty market fresh cold sandwiches, and really good jalepeno poppers.

I like damn near everything on their menu..... Only negatives at arbys are that I would rather have regular French fries than curly fries (don't know why the took away the regular fries option) and they have pepsi products instead of coke.

The curly fries dipped in Arby sauce is the best thing ever.
