His spot up shooting was looking freaky good in the USA camp.
He said he worked on it. I believe him.
This means Burke and Burks need to be doing the majority of the ball handling so Hayward can play off them.
So, I'm just curious. . . Do you think that Hayward would be able to best do the things that he's better at from Small forward or from shooting guard?Hayward is much better doing this than handleing the ball. I don't know why everyone wants him to have the ball in his hands so much. He doesn't shoot when he has a 5 ft jumper, he isn't the best passer, he isn't amazing at the P&R, but when he can catch and shoot, or slash to the basket, he is amazing.
I think the whole Hayward as a ballhandler thing is a Jazzfanz desire. We were so sick of Mo, and wanted him and Foye gone, we wanted to peg Hayward/Burks as the guy who could do it, so those guys would be gone (Watson and Tinsley as well). We have some good young pg's. Let them do their job and let Hayward do his.

SG. BUT, you do need a person on this team that can create his own shot. So far, only Burks can...some of the times. Wiggins/Hayward/Burke/Favors wins titles.
This is more or less how I feel also. I'm high on Kanter and Gobert as well. I think that a starting five of Kanter, Favors, Wiggins or Parker, Hayward and Burke will make the playoffs and a bench led by Gobert, Burks, Neto and two more 1st round picks (GSW 2014 and the Jazz 2015) give them a lot of talent in reserve. If any falter, then you look to replace them with the high draft picks or free agents.
The key to all of this is getting lucky enough to get that impact player at the top of the 2014 draft. Hence why I'm okay with the poor season the Jazz are about to have.

Hayward has been very productive setting up others. That'll be a huge responsibility of his going forward.
The dude is just versatile. Don't put him in one or two slots.
I have a feeling Hayward will have a fantastic year this next year shooting it from behind the arc.
**** you PKM
