Who are the top power forwards in the league right now?

Quick poll: Who do you think the top PFs are in the league?

It used to be that there were a couple of players who were clearly the best in the league (e.g., Duncan, Garnett, Amare, etc.), but now it seems there is more parity.

I kinda think Gasol is really a center.

This is a point guard's league now. Gasol is clearly the best pf right now. Duncan is still good. Al has the potential to be right up there.

Okay, so maybe... Gasol (if he's really a PF), Nowitzki, Duncan, Amare, Bosh, Odom, J. Smith, Millsap, Boozer, ...

Players like David West and Lamarcus Aldridge seem to disappear in big moments. Blake Griffin has all the talent but is still young. Scola is too limited physically.

Dirk is a PF, not much of a back-to-the-basket game. But Duncan and Gasol have been centers really their whole careers.

On a related note, I guess everyone's noticed that Greg Monroe, Ed Davis, Pattrick Patterson and Larry Sanders haven't shown much life at this point.

He's 7 feet tall. According to 82 games, he plays the center position, although not that much. However, he's just as effective at it. PF per is 25.9 and his C per is 25.8.

Dirk is a PF, not much of a back-to-the-basket game. But Duncan and Gasol have been centers really their whole careers.

Not at all. Duncan played with Robinson, he had Elson, Oberto, etc. Gasol has had Bynum when healthy. Both are centers in the sense that Jefferson is a center. They play there in the absence of a true center or when someone is hurt. All three are better at the PF position.

Bosh isn't a power forward, he's a gangly soft forward.
