Okay, it's clear that we don't all see things eye to eye, but we ought to be able to agree on this one thing. One or two wins in the next two games against Tinfoil State would be awesome. Shaking the Tankers confidence and sending them into a long, long losing streak would be like a dream come true. If there is a team I wouldn't mind battling for last place it's the one we're playing tonight.

What makes you think I'm knocking them? You better be wearing yours non-stop from now until the end of our second consecutive game with the Tankers on on Monday night or I'll be pissed!
 
GS is too good a team to fall into the lottery. So it doesn't really matter.

Let's put a different label on it. Long term losers(pro-mediocrity crowd) vs. Short term losers.
I vote short term.

Raises an interesting question: can a basketball game end in a tie? I know it goes into OT but that is no guarantee one team will win, what if every single OT they go into ends in a tie? How is the game determined if every OT ends in a tie. Is it a foul thing, that if one team fouls out enough players to not be able to get 5 on the floor they forfeit?

First off, not all lottery picks are created equal.

Second, I'd bet every cent I have that GS makes the playoffs. Losing to us twice (or all 4 times) is not going to change that.
 
GS can still have a very good year and not make the playoffs. I vaguely remember one year where Nuggets either won 50 games or were in the high 40s and did not make the playoffs. I doubt they missed the playoffs if they stay healthy but there is a small possibility they just miss them with still having a good record. So every loss is important because the margin between bottom playoff teams and teams who just miss the playoffs is not that great. It could be one or two games.

As ridiculous as some might think believing that GS will miss the playoffs, so is thinking that they are guaranteed to make the playoffs after 10 games knowing the injury history of their key guys. GS will need just as much luck as the Jazz will need to have the GS pick be in the lottery. Even if it is a low lottery pick, it still has a small chance to be a high pick. Yes a small chance just like there is a small chance that GS doesn't make the playoffs. Nevertheless a chance.
