Corbin needs to be fired immediately

He can't be faulted for the personnel on the roster that wasn't necessarily built for a playoff run this season, but our defense has been awful all season for the most part. Much of that has to do with effort. Either players don't fear Corbin enough to exert maximum effort at all times, or Corbin can't bring it out of them. Either way, that's on Corbin.

Corbin has gotten better with subbing, but I still find myself scratching my head or screaming "What the ****!?!?!?!" every so often when I see a certain lineup on the court getting trounced or a see a player who's been playing really well sit on the bench for extended periods of time.

I don't know what the Jazz are waiting for. Maybe they aren't firing him now because they figure, what's the point? Just want to wait until the offseason? If Corbin starts the season next year as a head coach of the Utah Jazz, I think all Jazz fans should organize a boycott and if no changes are made an actual revolt on Greg Miller. Who's in?

Im surprised people haven't revolted in New Orleans. They extended Monty Williams, and dude hasn't had a winning season since he had Chris Paul the one year he was a head coach.
Corbin pretty much = Monty Williams.

Firing Corbin would be dumb. Most teams experience a short burst of performance after a coaches firing. We face 6 very winnable road games, but they are also very losable, especially if the team is starting to give up on Ty. Keep Ty on for the tank. It's that simple.

I haven't followed them as closely, but they should be better than they are this year even with their injuries. I'd imagine New Orleans fans are ready to see him go because he is crap as you pointed out. Anthony Davis is scary though. Crazy to think how good he is already and when you watch him the first thing you think is, "Wow this guy isn't even close to touching his potential."

So it's Corbin's fault if players don't exert maximum effort? I really get tired of hearing this. This isn't high school. These guys are professionals who shouldn't have to rely on a coach for motivation.

Sloan (and currently, many coaches like Pop, Thibs, etc.) wouldn't play someone if they didn't no matter how talented they were. Thus, if guys who played under him wanted to play they knew they couldn't drag ***. Very simple.

Lol. Sloan played Boozer a ton despite very little defensive effort and never questioned him at all.

If you kept it to defense then this would be a semi-respectable coach. You aired too many personal issues tho.

I've been back and forth about tanking. But the bottom line is that I feel like between Burke, Burks, Hayward, Favors and Kanter we have the potential for a championship contender down the line (obviously some other integral pieces will need to be added). One of the keys to winning down the line will be developing winning habits and understanding what it takes to win. Those young guys will never learn/experience that if the organization is 'tanking' by having an incapable head coach who can't develop winning skills/mentality.

Even if we had the best coach of all time this season the odds are we wouldn't make the playoffs and end up in the lotto. That's fine. But at this point I couldn't care less if we end up with the 1 or the 14. If our young nucleus can gain the priceless knowledge of what it takes to win in this league for the sake of a worse pick in the lotto, I'd prefer that.

Memphis fired arguably one of the best coaches in the league and is now running a damn near identical win % with the next random rookie HC and two integral players in severe decline. Coaching is nowhere near the issue most make it out to be. It's an emotional scapegoat.
