Ummm…what?
1) Randle was pretty much always a top-7 lock. Even I had him around that range, and I feel like I'm the biggest "hater" on Randle on this board.
2) Any team that takes the Harrison that hit the big shot in the lottery is absolutely moronic. I give him credit for hitting not one, not two, but three huge shots. That's impressive. Doesn't mean I'd take him in the lottery. You know what he did outside of hitting that shot tonight? He had 8 total points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists (and I believe both were lob dunks) and got to the line once. In a game where he should have been able to physically manhandle his opponent offensively and defensively, he failed to do so.
He's athletic in the same way that Harrison Barnes is athletic. Sure his numbers might test out well, but he sure as hell doesn't play athletic. In a game with several pro prospects, Aaron Harrison was one of the least impressive, outside of his big shot. For all of his size and apparent talents, he doesn't do anything special. I believe his brother is the actual PG, but Harrison with the big balls has an entire starting lineup full of NBA talent (and some bench players), and he can't average more than 2 assists per game? Ok…well then he must be a pretty good shooter. Oh, you mean he only shot 36% from 3? Well…he has good size!!!!
Look, it's awesome that he had a great tournament for Kentucky. I hope he has a great game on Monday. For as much as I dislike Kentucky, they've been fun to watch this tournament…every week they've had the best game. However, if success was measured by how players did in the tournament, then Gerry freaking McNamera should have gone in the first round after his freshman year too.
I would love for you to tell me why Harrison deserves to go in the lottery, who you would take him over, and why. Kthx.
