I'm sure Okafor will be good, but damn, he makes Kanter look like an elite athlete...

i think okafor's athleticism is just fine. dude is 270lb+. and he carries that weight effortlessly. love his touch around the rim, 7ft 5 wingspan, fluid hip, and love his massive lower body.

yeah, bigger sullinger makes sense. if sullinger was bigger he would easily be top 5 post player. i always liked sullinger, but i knew he can't be elite because he was undersized with so-so athleticism. but this kid has 2 inches on sullinger with 4 inch longer wingspan. and he moves better than sullinger IMO.

bigger, tad shorter, but slower tim duncan could be his ceiling. and that's not a bad ceiling.

like this kid, but all season long i was disappointed by his defense. don't like the way he opens up his shoulder, and he just doesn't seem to want it. you would think guys like this would dominate defensively, but he just seems like he doesn't care about defense yet. he should stay 1 more year. twins need to stay one more year too.

I don't claim to know much about Okafor, but from the little I've seen I'd say Marc Gasol is who comes to mind. But this really is just me talking out of my ***. I could be totally off.

One is black, one is not.

Do you know how comps work?

he does have that sweeping hook move just like gasol. llike gasol, this kid uses his wide body so well. you can basically compare this kid to any traditional post player in the nba. this guys will be that IMO - a legit back to the basket post player. but his ceiling can be more because i hear that this guy can already shoot. i used to live in Chicago. i used to follow chicago's high school basketball scene. and i know alot of guys who follow chicago hoop and most tell me this guy has tim duncan ability. i haven't seen him enough yet, so i don't think i can't claim him to be next duncan just yet. but obviously this guy is talented enough to be the #1 player in all 3 major recruiting rankings.

i'm not sure if this kid has gasol's playmaking ability yet though. but from what i've heard and seen from footage, this kid seems to have handles and unselfishness, so maybe he can develop the vision and pass like those euro bigs.

this kid will be the safest pick next year IMO. I project him to be

better andre drummond
bigger jared sullenger

highest ceiling - tim duncan like but drummond body type
bottom - andre drummond with worse defense, but better offense (argh, that would be bad)

i think Okafor can be really good, been watching/reading about him for quite some time, hes really transformed his body over the past 2 seasons. I can remember initially seeing him thinking "this fat kid is the number 1 player in the class?"

one of things i really like that separates him into the elite tier is hes going to draw tons of fouls. reminds me of a Brook Lopez / DeMarcus Cousins hybrid

Hassan Whiteside might be back in the league next year hes obliterating the Lebanese leagues

Traditionally one of the better leagues too, next to the talent rich Laotian league. Obviously.

Just curious as to why you use andre drummond? I've seen this Okafor kid play exactly 0 minutes and 0 seconds, but from what I gather, he's the complete opposite of Drummond. High on skills and low on athleticism.
