Locker room clean out day the 2014 edition

Garret- Had an OKC back pack on he forgot was in his locker. hardest thing was trying to get in a position where a team would need you. easiest thing was knowing what he could bring. Feels like he has a lot more that he can do. Said his dad told him he needed to keep his 3 pt% over 40. Asked why they were so slow in pace of play, said our post players like to slow it down a little bit.

Diante Garrett found his OKC back pack today in the bottom of his locker, it has been their since he got to the jazz.

He has learned to play within his role. He is still hungry has more to prove, will work hard this summer.

There were times when he got tired.

Why did they play slow? Diantee- I don't think we played slow, but I guess numbers don't lie. We have bigs guys who can work in the post so we needed to work to get them the ball.

Not that we didn't all know it already - at least those of us who have been paying attention, but once again Burks reminds us he's a bad ***.

Kanter talking about shooting 3's. Locke confirming with kanter how coaches told him not to. He says he is doing it next year.

Yup. Burks is a winner. Plain and simple.

Kanter just got in trouble with Jazz PR. Said 5 young guys need to play more minutes Together.

Love the courage to speak the truth.

Talking logic with locke about rebuilding and development

Kanter- No longer the Under Kanter, because the undertaker lost. Next year start shooting 3's. Going to work on them this summer. Post game back to the basket is his go to move. Won't lose post game if he starts shooting 3's. won't get soft from shooting 3's, lives in the paint. Focused and more concentrated on rebounding later in the year, which is why his rebounding went up. "Five young guys need to play more minutes." Locke asked why, kanter said They were told they're the future, were told they were rebuilding, this year was for development. Weren't competing for a championship so why not develop them. Most important thing to help the team improve is defense. He knows better where to go on D. The more you play the more experience you get which helps you get better on D.
