Locker room clean out day the 2014 edition

I like the DL talk, but it is just talk at this point.

He knows he can use Corbin as a scapegoat for everything that went wrong this season and he is going to use that to create optimism. I assume he didn't have much control over Corbin's rotations, but let's not forget that DL is the guy who failed to trade Marvin or Jefferson to force freed time for Kanter/Burks.

He also signed Lucas, Garrett, Thomas, Clark...drafted Burke and Gobert, and traded for Rush, Jefferson and Biedrins to land us a bunch of draft picks and keep our books in nice order to sign our players and retool the bench this year.

I'd say he has more than backed up his words with actions.

To be honest I am loving what I am hearing. Can see some fire in Kanter, Hayward, Burks and Favors. Burke has been firey all season with his tweets and jabs at the pro tanking crowd.

Good boys. Be pissed about this year, be mad. Feed it all summer long. Hit the weights and court with those thoughts and images in your head. Use that to fuel you to get better and tighter as a group. Come back next year in shape, improved, hungry and with a chip on your shoulder. Time to put some attitude back into the Jazz and the arena.

Now the real work begins.

GO JAZZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stoked is killing it today.

Great post. I hope these guys are pissed off at the world right now. They need to eat, sleep and breathe TEAM. If they do, they could be special when it comes together. Give me a defensive head coach and an offensive assistant that opens things up and runs. It would be fun to watch these guys grow in that environment. Next year will be a year of learning, but if these guys gel and the rookies play well they will be solid in two seasons.

I don't want any vets until we see what we get in the draft. I am going to scream if we draft Wiggins, Parker, Embiid or etc. and see them sit behind some player who is a year or two away from being out of the league. You want to build this team for the long haul and having as many young players playing is the only way to get better and have better chemistry.

By FA, I think the way Lindsey will go is to get guys with upside, like Boozer and Memo. RJ was a completely different animal since he came as an expiring. Vet that comes in needs to be in his mid 20's. Outside of that, then you have players at the vet minimum to be emergency players (like a 3rd PG). There are minutes at the 4/5 and certainly at the 3. Also at PG. Neto and Garrett may be serviceable, but if the Jazz could upgrade, that would certainly improve the team.

WHAT? An NBA player thinking he should have received more minutes. There isn't a player in the league who doesn't think he got enough minutes.
you heard other jazz players complaining about minutes in these interviews?

The should like make the draft before like the FA period starts, say like.... and I''m just throwing out dates here... but say draft is on June 26th and then uhhh again just spit balling here but say FA period starts July 1st. Then like you said they would be able to draft before going after FA's.

Great idea! I think if we pass this along to Silver right now he might even be able to make it happen for this summer.

So how are the young guys going to every have chemistry if you keep bringing in veteran guys? So if we bring in a veteran guy how are the young guys going to establish leadership? Jazz have a lot of young talent do just give up on it and bring in retreads or even decent vets. So if the Jazz get either Parker or Wiggins are they going to need to "earn" their minutes while we watch some "vet" put up average numbers. There is no reason to bring in vets until you establish the Core of your team. You don't rebuild in one year. Not if you are going to do this the right way.

The Jazz need to address the coaching
Then the draft
Then sign there own free agents
Then if there is any vet that would compliment the team and strengthen the bench then you make a deal.
Summer league - coach instills new system and then camp they emphasize a more uptempo game and DEFENSE.

This is why I'm so high on Longabardi. He had Pierce and Allen playing top 10 defense. He has the Suns playing top 15 defense. Could you imagine how nasty he could make our defense with length like Burke, Burks, Hayward, Favors, Gobert and our draft pick? We would be a top 10 defensive team next year.

Stoked this is why I'm such a damned ***-hole these days, because of these damned stupid retarded comments. People are getting dumber by the day!!

If you want no vets... Fine, we can be the Clips of the last 25 ****ing years! Congrats cowhide. If Cowhide gets his way, the jazz will be in rebuild mode for the next ten damned bloody years, then another 5-10 years to become contenders.

Every team needs a mix of young talented players mixed in with talented vets, and vets and youngs that play specific roles. If Parker Or Wiggind or Embiid can't rise up in the with the vets, then they really aren't that good. That's what separates the stars from the good from the average players.

I don't know Stoked, maybe your fine with all these crap posters, but I'm not, and will continue to voice these opinions. So sick of people hating on vets because they weren't drafted by this team or because they've played more then 5-7 years in the league. Some here post as if vets are poison. Stop blaming the vets, and start Blaming the bloody coach!

Seems as if the trolls outnumber the posters that actually know what's going on.

I see the hatred of vets as hating the symptoms of a disease. It is not the vets fault that they play so much. I agree that some vets are needed on the team.

It just seems that you are much angrier lately Thee Jazz Fan. Stop letting them get to you.

Every man has his breaking point Stoked. I went from posting over 10 times a day to my average of 6 today, because the the trolls and idiots run the damned asylum. It's like toys r us in here. We get some of the dumbest most childishly stupid comments in here that there's less and less to comment on.

Locke touched on this the last couple of days that the Jazz tended to play better up tempo than then Trey walked the ball up the court and set a play. A lot of that you can put on the coaching staff. Hopefully DL puts Ty out of his misery and they start to hire a new coach.
