imho the hate is not excessive enough.
everytime you "criticize/hate" on him they pull the race card, and make u back the **** down.
because we all know nothning worse then a racis right ":rolleyes"
LOL - The reality is that the haters have a double standard when completely ignoring all the crap Bush did but when Obama has done anything they are negative of it. I guess if people had questioned Bush's citizenship and religion when he ran for president then you would have a point. To completely ignore the racial history of this country and to deny that many on the right hate him simply because he is black is naive and ridiculous. Sorry but it isn't Obama or his supporters who started the race card. Beck called Obama a racist and Limbaugh called him Puff the Magic Negro and Ted Nugent saying he wants to put a gun in Obama mouth and calling him a subhuman mongrel. Yea I guess those don't have racial over tones at all.
Funny if the GOP stopped making stupid comments many of them about race (referring to the OBamas as apes) then maybe your argument would be stronger. Instead GOPers play the victim card, we are racists because we don't like Obama. No many GOPers are racists because they actually are racists. They act like it and seemed to have no problem expressing their racists views publicly. All presidents get criticized, but in my lifetime the hate for president obama far exceeds anything I've witnessed.
When the Dixie Chicks said they were embarrassed the Bush was from Texas, they were crucified and had their cd's burned and many stations refused to play their songs. They had death threats against them but can you honestly say what they said is even close to what president has had to endure. Did Bill O'Reilly get in the face of President Bush and tell him how much they (liberals) hated him? Did any Democratic leader point a finger in the face of a standing president when he came to visit their state? Did militia membership increase over 200 percent after Bush was elected? Was there a hoarding of ammunition after Bush was "elected"? Did the death threats against president Bush increase after his election? Did anyone blame Bush for NY 9/11 (82 percent approval rating) right after it happened? How many filibusters were there during the Bush administration? Did Liberals say they wanted to see president Bush fail as soon as he was elected?
Just look at the reaction of the right on things that have happened: 9/11 Libya - According to John McCain, the worse foreign policy failure in the history of the US, Really? Really? NY 9/11, Iraq, Vietnam etc.
The fact that Bush had several embassies attacked during his administration, with little or no mention of these attacks certainly not on the scale of Libya.
The NSA spying Sandal - LOL -The NSA have been spying for a while before Bush and Obama but now it is just evidence that Obama is a dictator.
Bush enacted the Patriot now it is Obama's fault that the gov't is spying on us.
Bush invaded a country that had nothing to do with 9/11 nor did it have WMDs. Yet when Obama avoids another war he is consider weak. Like it is Obama fault that the Mideast is a huge pile of crap. Can you only imagine what the reaction from the right would have been if Democrats supported Putin calling Bush weak for not doing anything about Georgia?
Fast and Furious - started under Bush, beside the fact that many republicans still hail Reagan as this great president. Guess what he illegally sold arms to Iran. Funny how private gun owners sell to anyone who walks through the door and then claim they aren't responsible for the mass shootings that occur in the USA. Dateline did an episode about private guns sales that end up in mexico. Guess what the gun dealers were unapologetic about selling guns that ended up in the hands of cartel members. But god forbid if a program started under Bush comes to light during the Obama administration, then he is ridiculed as incompetent or failure.
Most of the country cheered when Bush caught Sadaam H., so you would think that the GOP would cheer the capture of the most wanted man alive Osama Bin Laden, NOPE!!! Instead they claimed the president was taking too much credit and politicizing the event. They couldn't even be happy when we caught the guy who was responsible for NY 9/11. Why? I am sure that you don't think it is because he is black. NO way that could be a possibility after all the racists things said about him. Please!!!!!!
There is nothing wrong with criticizing the president. Yes even president obama. It is how you do it. You can't go around calling him every name in the book while completely disregarding the failures of white presidents and not realize that it is going to be interpreted as racist. If the GOP had cooperated at all with the president they wouldn't be having this imagine problem but go ahead and blame the president and liberals for your party's short comings. SO I will help you out, the democratic party use to be the racist party and I have no doubt there are a few closet bigots in the democratic party. See it isn't hard to take some personal responsibility for your party's actions.
Just before you call me an Obama sheep, I am not. I can say that there are some things I haven't agree with the president. I don't know if he lied or was just not aware of "you can keep your insurance" but either way it was a complete screw-up and only fueled the distrust the right has of him. Even though there is no smoking gun like IRaq, Shame on him if he lied. I was upset with him for rolling over and giving the crying Boehner an extension of the Bush Tax cuts. I wish he has had gotten the troops out of Afghanistan sooner, I believe he could have change the time frame and brought them home sooner. Libya, they should have waited to report their findings instead of rushing out information that later was found to be false. I however don't think it was mismanaged or covered up like the GOP does. I was disappointed in the ACA rollout. Not having the website up and running was a failure and an embarrassment for the president.
Overall I think the president has done a credit job considering the complete lack of support and daily personal attacks from the right. I certainly don't think he is evil but what his election has shown is that american's racist past is still a big part of american society.
