BYU NCAA Violations

To set the record straight, I don't need some major punishment for BYU in order for me to feel happy. Hell, EVERY school has stuff like this going on. I just find amusement in the fact that whatever was happening, it brings to light yet again that BYU is steeped in hypocrisy. All we hear about is the higher standards, the way Bronco wants things done, blah blah blah and at the end of the day, they're no different. I also REALLY like BYU fan girls flipping out on sports radio personalities because they feel picked on.

The next time local sports media gets wind of a potential negative story about BYU, they better think twice about reporting it. Cougar fans have proven to be some pretty nasty keyboard warriors.

Rise And Pout!!!!

at the end of the day, they're no different.

You really believe this?

Not every school suspends thier best running back of all time for his senior year for having sex with his girlfriend that he has been with since high school and is engaged to. (Harvy unga)

Dont forget the suspension of brandon davies and not letting him play in the ncaa tournament for having sex with a girl.

Spencer hadley goes to a strip club..... suspension time.

I think byu is a little different from other schools.
Are they as perfect as they claim to be? Nope. They are definately different though, and i hate it.

As a byu fan who has tatoos, drinks, watches inappropiate movies, etc etc i sure am jealous that byu basically has no shot at 90 percent of high school football players in the country due to the honor code. (I pulled the 90 percent from my ***)

I sure would like byu to have more speed (brothas) on the field

So, should one shoot for high standards and come up short? Or should one not even bother to aim high? Unless you're in favor of the latter I'm not even sure what your point is.

Colton, I am of the belief that BYU enforces their honor code standards when they have to. , not when they want to. Jimmy Mac, was a walking, talking, honor code violation his entire time at BYU, and he's gone on record saying as much. But guess what? He didn't play during the age of the internet and social media, so there was never any punishment handed down. Where is the "honor" in that? The "honorable" way BYU handled Harvey Unga, Brandon Davies, Spencer Hadley, etc. were basically situations in which BYU knew that those stories had already made their way to the internet or were about to. It's mighty hard to hide anything anymore.

You think BYU strives for moral excellence and comes up short sometimes. I think BYU has never been super interested in outing it's athletes for breaking the honor code but social media is forcing their hand more and more.

I'm too lazy to Google. What ended up being happening? Serious trouble, or Ute fans just being themselves?

This literally has nothing to do with Utah except for Utes fans pointing and laughing.

Utes fans being themselves? Nah, byu being byu.

Busby is a dumpster diver, tbh.

And what is so wrong about dumpster diving, hmmm?

Wow. Talking about Jim McMahon in one breath, but in the next you'll "roflcopter" and call someone "Uncle Rico" if they bring up the Gold in the trophy case. (lol, 3rd place) But seriously, you're so dumb, retarded people call each other "Jazzman12" when they insult one another.

Oh ya, I forgot that it was a Coug fan who started this thread, Coug fans throwing out all sorts of stupid, unsubstantiated claims, assumptions, and worthless opinions, and Coug fans who ended up (as is always the case) looking like morons.

Wait a second...

Looking at this from the perspective of someone who doesn't follow either of the major university's in Utah, it is pretty ironic and makes me smirk a lil'

That being said, I can get rid of the smirk and look past the irony for the right price. I'll pledge my loyalty to the side of the highest bidders.

Ready?

Go!

Helen is a Coug fan. Salty/green/jm12 are Ute fans. Probably best to stay neutral.
