What's new

Quin Snyder is the new coach

So when's the press conference?

Just finished. I can't wait for him to get started. I don't think it would've mattered if he **** himself or hit the press conference out of the park (which he did), because proof will be on the court. I'm excited about the future with him as the coach. My only hope is Greg Miller stays as far the **** away from the franchise as possible.

Ha after watching.... sorta... the presser, guess from Greg's answer he is a defensive coach as well. Greg said that Snyder believes in D first and that he wouldn't delegate that part to an assistant, again maybe that's why Messina will be brought along to help teach offensive side of the ball?

He's actually a pick and roll guru too so he's got it all

So with all that's blown up here I'm sure I missed this, but is it confirmed that Messina will be an assistant?

God damnit......will rep so hard for a serious *** recap.

Locke got him to open up alot, talking about his dad and past in Washington State. You can tell David was really kissing his *** pretty good. Quin was shocked about how much David knew about him.

David talked to him about wanting to coach basketball rather than go into the financial industry where he would have made a crap load of money

Talked about leaving the Pacers training camp and decided he was giving up his basketbal career to do something else. He wanted to do great things, not just be a mediocre player which he knew he was

Talked alot about P&R and how that is how coaches win and lose jobs.

Talked about how players want to be coached

Locke and Quin seemed to really hit it off

This is huge news. It took 20 years to finally move forward from the remnants of Jerry Sloan and the cliche of Tyrone The Cyclone. This is a top 3 moment in Jazz history.
