12M, probably more.
Who here doesn't think Monroe is better than Favors?
Since you'll have to pry him away from Detroit, I'd say $54/4. Without considering RFA status, he's probably worth what Favors would be making.
I wouldn't be upset with a Hayward/Monroe S/T swap (obviously, if that means you're getting a significantly better deal and more certainty).
I cannot think of a better outcome than trading the #5 & Favors for Wiggins and signing Monroe.
In the Favors gone hypothetical, how much do you offer Monroe?
I don't. He's a sieve on defense and my team has no place for a guy like that unless it's at the right price. Or have we learned nothing from Boozer [and] Okur
Pry him away? They don't want him.
That really good offensive players are really important to winning as well?
Yep. So let's rationalize paying 13M to a slightly above average offensive big who plays no defense.
I'm not an expert on Greg Monroe. Are you?
I'd give Monroe 11 million. Not good defensively, nothing special offensively, a great passer though and has good size.
A quick perusal of a Pistons board and nobody is dogging on Monroe. Considering that they watch the games and follow their guys better than I do, I'd say it's safe to say that the Pistons aren't aching to part with Greg Monroe for nothing, and might even match a max offer.
Well, that's settled then.
Even 11M for a big who is basically meh other than as a passer? That's not 13M but 11M even? I just don't get it.
