He looked much better in today's game against the Hornets. His speed and defense were having an impact. Watch him if you have a chance.

Starter Jeff Teague sat while Dennis Schröder guided the team to a narrow victory in the game’s final minutes.

Point guard Dennis Schröder finished Monday’s 91-85 win over the New York Knicks as Atlanta’s point guard. The second-year pro from Germany played 28 minutes overall, tallying 14 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 turnovers. Schroder scored 12 of his 14 points in the final quarter, including a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line.

Starter Jeff Teague played 26 minutes, scoring 3 points on 0-for-3 shooting from the field. He also notched 6 assists.

It has been quite a week for Schröder , who a week ago hadn’t even supplanted Shelvin Mack as the backup point guard. Now, a few highly successful games later, Coach Mike Budenholzer is already trusting him with starter-like minutes and the chance to finish games.

The two point guards, Schröder and Teague, did play together on the floor for a short stint in the first half.

It will be interesting to see how the point guard rotation shakes out for the Hawks’ next game Wednesday against the Utah Jazz.

Ok, I'm convinced. Let's ship Trey off in trade. Only one problem, though. This guy's name is Dennis, and that could cause a lot of confusion over my sig. I guess I could change my sig, but that sounds like a lot of work and I'm kind of a lazy ***. Yep, not worth it. I guess we should just leave things as they are.

....never heard of this Schroder kid, but we get just about all the Hawks games locally here in S.C. so I watch occasionally, and was impressed with his poise and shot selection down the stretch last night! I was disappointed that Teague while sitting on the bench, looked like a sourpuss rather than cheering the kid on! Two "fresh" well rested point guards in this league can wreck havoc on the opposition! Is this kid a "Utah" boy or what?

I was one of the few Schroeder homer in last year's draft (go check out '13 Homer List).

Glad to see him adjusting and doing well now in the NBA.
