Chad Ford: Exum > Burke right now; rookie player that's most positively surprising

I wonder who Lindsey would have picked if Corbin wasn't the coach at the time????

Rumor had it the Jazz were targeting a big but they knew he'd be gone at #12. I'm guessing Olynyk, but it could have been Adams. At worst (staying put), maybe Lindsey would have taken Schroder early and Gobert early. Jazz would have saved some cash and had a better PG.

coulda went after Ray McCallum or Archie Goodwin late too. Pierre Jackson had a terrible injury, I hope he can bounce back to full strength, but he was a damn good prospect either way, I never thought Trey was all that much better than him tbh. Never believed the Nate Wolters hype, I wasnt the biggest Cannan fan but he looks pretty good nowadays, I soured on Larkin later in the process, too small, Schroder just annihilated him 2 games in a row.

Raul Neto was an abomination of a 2nd round pick... he cant shoot. they could've taken Seth Curry or better yet... Matthew Dellavedova.. There were PG's to be had.

Problem is Burke's game relies too much on him making shots. He isn't a natural passer of the ball nor can he drive and finish easily (both of which is what MCW does well). He also isn't a very good defender with limited physical attributes, so he can't hang his hat on that neither.

Take away his shooting and he's pretty average, unfortunately.

You're being kind. Take away his shooting and he's below average.

Hard to take away what he never had. Pretty good sample size over 70 games last season and two summer leagues, particularly the last SL when he should have looked like an all-star playing against scrubs and rookies. We had hope after some good preseason games, but those appear to be outliers.
