I can't recognize these things without the proper lingo. I can't identify opinions without imo, laughter without lol, and honesty without tbh. I've never seen you use that internet jargon. However, I still trust you are doing all three of these things at times.

Certitude is a myth, that much is certain.

One time I was certain of something. Then I became very uncertain because I was certain of something. It was scary.

Gotta be in the top ten comments ever in JFK forum

Have you stumble upon some Zen scriptures during the Christmas break or something?

Interesting sig pic, OL.

I am doing fine, principally because I don't have anyone like those dolls on the line. My wife might have liked like that when she was that age, but she doesn't have that style of gear. Her hair has grown back since the fight against the big C,
And she's back to being more help to me than I deserve.

I'm pretty busy. My girls are good helpers too. They know more about life and the world than most college students.

Sorry to hear about your wife.. hopefully it doesn't come back..

Perhaps subconsciously, although I do not recall reading any at any point in my life. I just picked up a basket (maybe a shopping cart) at the entrance of my mind, went through a couple jillion aisles, and threw in whatever I needed to make my post. Would be cool to see everything that was in the basket, tbh. On second thought, it had to have been a dump truck, or a freighter. I don't have enough time (or the mental capability) to keep track of all that ish.

ONE LOVE can handle all citations in the meantime. The onus is on you, my friend.

I thought he was asking me, but honestly your answer would answer well enough for me. . . .

Except I confess to actually studying Zen, and loving it. Not as much as Jesus, though. I am sure I have made some different choices in how I deal with it all.

With the pic I'm trying to say: "These cheerleaders, they love their life, why can't you?"

My wife sees pics like that and calls them bimbos and such, and wonders why I look.

I tell her I looked at her once. Still not too hard on my eyes.

And besides all that, I like my budget.

It's nice to see that this thread is still alive and well. Some day it will get to be the longest ever, at least on this incarnation of JazzFanz.

I just did a quick search and this thread is still over 1,000 pages behind the Following potential 2014 draftees thread.

you and me both!

when I was a teenager way back in the last century, I fell heir to all the abandoned college texts left behind by several older siblings. . . . it had some pretty dark stuff in the pychology area, and I became afraid I'd be rounded up and hauled off to the nuthouse.

Of course I realized the real psychosis existed in the minds of the "professionals" who were obsessed with diagnosing and labeling everyone.

So although I still keep an eye out for strange-looking perps in white coats carrying clipboards and med pouches, with cops in tow, I make it a point to laugh at all that stupidity whenever it surfaces from my subconscious.

Having a sense of humor and a clear idea of what's going on is better protection than packing heat in a ghetto. . . .

And besides, my German Shepherds take care of me wherever I am.
