Steph Curry?

After watching PTI today, I learned that the Warriors owner called Monta Ellis untouchable and admitted that they are looking to trade Stephen Curry. Seems like a great fit to me. Not a great defender, but is an amazing scorer that the Jazz seem to desperately need.

I doubt the Warriors would let a young player go without something valuable in return, which would most likely take AK out of the equation. Millsap for Curry? Hayward + Miles for Curry? Thoughts...

The Warriors have always liked AK for their system and he's an expiring contract. The Jazz could trade AK for Curry and some filler.

Yes we need to get smaller, as if getting out rebounded by 10 a night isn't bad enough.

I forgot the bulk of the rebounding was done by the 2 guard.

Steph curry would be a dream pickup. A lights out shooter who can create for himself as well dime with the best of them? Kids a star. The end.

I really can't help but laugh looking at this thread... We will be able to trade for Curry if we are willing to give up Deron Williams. Not AK, not Millsap or anyone else, at least not at Curry's current rookie contract.

You are either on crack or from Korea if you think the warriors would sniff at that

Why? And no I'm not from Korea, I'm stationed here. If the team is already throwing in the towel and wanting to move a player for flexibility, AK's contract will smell pretty nice to a team wanting cap space in the future.

Ok then you are on crack. I mean you do get news in Korea right? You have the internet obviously. You somehow believe that Curry and his rookie scale contract is burdening the Warriors so terribly that they will give up one of the NBA's young stars for cap space and junk?

No I don't believe that at all. Try to wrap your mind around this one for a second, the Warriors have openly stated that they want to move Curry... So if you're going to move him and you know you don't have a chance to even think about the playoffs, a large expiring contract plus maybe a draft pick or possibly another assett would be very beneficial to a young team trying to build for the future. Especially when considering they have openly stated they are building around Ellis, not Curry.

The Jazz drafted Curry's dad the traded him away. I don't think he ever played for them and they spent the next 12 years looking for a 2 gaurd.

Let me guess...you were in diapers or non-existant in 1986. Dell Curry (Steph Curry's father), played in 67 games for the Jazz his rookie season. The following season he was involved in a trade to Cleveland that landed the Jazz Daryl Dawkins and Dinner Bell Mel Turpin.

Jazz really don't have anything they'd be willing to give that the Warriors are looking for. A nice idea, but I think it will stay just that.
