What's new

Chris Hardwick

When we only hear one side of the story - absolutely.

When we also hear from the co-workers of the putative abusers that they recognize his behaviors? When the evidence put forth by the putative abuser actually confirms the original testimony of the abused?

And when there are other folks that come to Hardwick's defense including his mother-in-law and other podcasters? And what about the texts from Dykstra that Hardwick released that appear to seek reconciliation and forgiveness from him after they broke up - which, by the way, is the only tangible evidence we have.

So some of his coworkers are in on the whole revenge plot, too?

So, since hardwick has not been abusive to his mother-in-law (or she accepts his abusive behavior as normal) and he behaves himself during interviews, he's exonerated?

What about the texts from Dystrka? Why do they argue against abuse in your mind? To me, they fit in quite well with the mentality that many abused people exhibit. They also fit in very well with the column Dystrka penned before Hardwick released the texts.

My impression was that you were making comparisons which diminished the experience of Dykstra. If your intention was to create hypothetical scenarios that were in no way related to the Dykstra/Hardwick situation, then I misread that and apologize for the misreading. If you like, propose your hypothetical again.

However, one of the problems with hypotheticals in this area is that our responses are so varied that often the answer will be "it depends on the couple".
Well damn. This was not the response I expected. I was a dick to you and then you responded kindly, reasonably, and respectfully.
Im sorry for my attack on you. The class you showed here makes me re-think what I thought of you in the past and I will read your posts in a new light going forward.

I fully admit to being strident in support of what I believe is right. However, I also believe that treating other people kindly is right. When I fail to do that, please feel free call me out on it. Thank you for your kind words.

You are welcome :)

decided to check out the show talking dead. he started with grace and tears and lots of emotions

25 people of the crew decided to quit becuase. they believe guilty until proven innocent and then maybe even still being GUILTY. because "muh social justice outweighs actual justice"

that being said, seeing as he himself is a sjw virtue signaler. maybe ti is good he was on the wrong side of some sjw hitjob!

principally it is bad what happened to him

but personally i wish all sjw goes through these kind of attacks from their own kind

********.

Saying you’ll dump somebody if you don’t get sex is a dick move, BUT SHE KNEW OF THIS REQUIREMENT COMING INTO THE RELATIONSHIP!

He didn’t tie her down and force her. She could have left whenever she wanted.

Why is breaking up with an ice woman a dick move? Sex is generally a big part of the contract.

He is back to work after AMC concluded their own investigation. Some staffers left in protest but I think this just reinforces my belief that Dykstra is not telling 100% truth.

As everything was going down right after the essay many people talked about Hardwick's jackass way of treating people in general. Regardless of how truthful Dykstra's essay is, I think it has been well established that hardwick is a jerk. It's possible those people left because they thought they were finally getting rid of a person they don't like working with and since he's being brought back they are out?

I have a hard time believing that he is such a jerk as some portray. Like dude is legitimate friends with a lot of women in industry who know him for many years ( Like Jenna Elfman, J.Alexander for example). And he got support from his current mother in law, lol that would be the most valid from them all TBH. I doubt they would have shown him support and still would remain friends if he is such a jerk. Or he is a jerk to some but very nice to others? It's weird situation anyway.

I'm not talking about being a jerk to women, I'm talking about him just being jerk in general. For instance, one person said that if you were at a party and having a conversation with him and a celebrity walked into the room he'd walk away from you mid-sentence without a word and go suck up to the bigger celebrity. His on-air personality is nice and all, but the stories were that he treated people who worked for him like crap.

Ah, so he is selective jerk:)
