What's new

Oh the irony...

Amazing that Trump is verifiably calling people n****** and using derogatory terms for Puerto Ricans, etc., yet most of the comments on articles are slamming Omarosa for exposing him. It's another clear indication that Trump has made it ok to be outwardly racist. The decency people are sacrificing to support Trump is unreal. He can seemingly do anything and get away with it.

"Trump’s re-election campaign is trying to force Omarosa Manigault Newman to stop disparaging Trump, based on a nondisclosure agreement she signed when she was working for his campaign but which covered future activity.

“That’s going to fail,” predicted Bradley Moss, a Washington, D.C., lawyer specializing in federal employee rights. “[Trump is] used to a world where he can threaten financial ruin on people with these NDAs.”

While Trump could prevail regarding Manigault Newman’s time with the campaign, he will be unable to stop her from discussing her time in the White House, Moss said. During that time, she was technically working for the United States government, not a private entity under Trump’s control. In those circumstances an NDA would be unenforceable “as a matter of law,” according to Moss."

I don't think Trump supporters would care if he uses the n-word.
Hmmm. I think some won't care/would be pleased. Most though I think live in this alternate reality where Trump isn't actually racist. I've seen some incredible mental gymnastics from Trump supporters defending everything from 'Mexicans are rapists' to his housing discrimination in the 70's. A recording of him using the n-word will puncture that illusion somewhat I think.

They will also defend this if it is true. They have to keep up appearances, but I don't think a meaningful percentage of his base would get worked up over these comments.

It's like that woman on Fox News that inspired so much outrage a few days ago. But only the progressives feel outraged. The Trumpists agree with her sentiments, and I for one, am glad they're not being coy about it.

Yeah the more I think about it the more I think you are right. They would be more upset by the appearance of racism/having to defend it than the racism itself. Will probably play out very similarly to the access Hollywood tape. They'll feign outrage for a news cycle or two and then back to business as usual.

I don't know what you are referring to though with the fox news stuff, what was that? Laura Ingram maybe?

Yep, that's the one. The monologue she gave about how demographic changes due to legal immigration ruined the America she knew and loved.

Was this actually verified? Wouldn't surprise me, but I hadn't read anything that actually verified, only speculation. If it was actually verified I think the comments would all slam him for using the word.

Trump and Omarosa deserve each other. They both seem like awful people.

Everyone justifies the things they care about/believe in. Trump supporters are no different.

Talk to any religious person. They will justify like no tomorrow. Talk to a sports fan about their favorite team and so on. Especially something that cant really be proven.

I dont expect politics to be any different. I also think that a lot of Trump fans seem to not support everything but have this **** the system or Trump is a stick on the spokes. They just want things to change, be different, or get messed up and ugly. Obama had so much support his first campaign for a not so different reason.

The main difference with Trump is he seems like a terrible person so it makes more people angry that he is in his position. But I think that anger makes people like him even more. A lot of Trump supporters just like to see what they view as the other side upset.

I doubt it has been verified. If it had we would have heard that tape a bajillion times by now. People only think this stuff is verified because it has been said over and over and over. And I agree with your final comment. Trump was an idiot to hire her. It ended in a predictable way.

Insightful post.

A lot of closet supporters as well, embarrassed to admit that they support him in fear of getting bashed in their social gatherings. If you’re a Trump supporter speak up, grow a backbone and make a case for yourself.

https://people.com/tv/tom-arnold-pe...-racially-insensitive-apprentice-tapes-exist/

Penn Jillette is claiming that President Donald Trump made “racially insensitive” remarks during his time on Celebrity Apprentice, which were captured on tapes that still exist.

Jillette, a professional magician who appeared on season 12 of the NBC reality series, confirmed to Vulture in a new interview that series creator Mark Burnett has tapes of Trump making the controversial statements. . . .

So when it came to think about supporting him for president, I digested that information from being on the show with him and said, ‘Absolutely not. He would be a terrible president.’ And because I’d been around him and some people cared what I thought, I said that publicly every chance I got — while also saying he’s a good reality show,” he continued. “You want someone capricious and petty and narcissistic to be on your reality show. And boy, I hate to say this, but playing tapes of him doing that job might be unfair. I want those tapes to be used against him, but it might be unfair.”

“If Donald Trump had not become president, I would tell you all the stories. But the stakes are now high and I am an unreliable narrator. What I do, as much as anything, is I’m a storyteller. And storytellers are liars. So I can emotionally tell you things that happened racially, sexually, and that showed stupidity and lack of compassion when I was in the room with Donald Trump and I guarantee you that I will get details wrong. I would not feel comfortable talking about what I felt I saw in that room — because when I was on that show I was sleeping four to five hours a night. I was uncomfortable,” he shared.

Not that this qualifies as proof. But honestly, anyone Trump's age has used the n-word. I used it myself a few times as a child because that was the language of the day and in lily-white Utah no one was informed that it was a bad word until probably the 70s. Trump supporters aren't going to care if he used the word because they likely have as well.

any single of you in here have said the n word in your live. stop being hypocrites.

unless one of you genuinely never ever ever ever ever used the n word! which i doubt. there are very few people who have never said the n word

also where is the evidence!

forgive me but sometimes people sya trump said x y or c

like for example him making fun of a disabled men. i got outraged. then i researched it watch trump and saw he did make fun of a disabled man not becuase he is disabled but because that man is a saying stupid stuf. just like he makes fun of every other person who is not disabled.

but to this day they media said he is cist towards disabled people. the media and trump attackers have lost credibility!
