Game Thread Mar 03, 2021 5:00PM MT: Jazz at 76ers

Added to Calendar: 03-03-21

Eh, the last time this team sounded off on the refs, it was Gobert, and he got whistled for two garbage fouls super early (one on the jumpball lol) and then ejected in our very next game.
My philosophy in life has always been **** that, just push the point by any means necessary, never back down, never give up, if someone is going to beat you make it hurt them more than they are willing to hurt you.

I want to say that I am consistantly appoliget to NBA officials. They have a very difficult job needing split second decision making to make a right call.
With that said this game was absolute ********. How about the shoulder check from Simmons on Clarckson in the early stages of the game. Flagrant foul. Simmons intended to knock the poo out of Clarckson in what was routine play.
Now after the review of Oneals hustle save with the lead pass to Donovan. It was obvious that it was a legal play and would have been two more points on the Jazz lead if not for the terrible call. Instead it gives the 76'ers a chance to tie. That chance would never have been possible if the correct call was made.
Then two T's on Donovan when it had become obvious that the NBA was one sided on the NBA's push to pamper a very large and popular fan base.
This game was ******** and shows that in a low profit year the league will side with profits instead of integrity.
I hope the Jazz make a formal complaint because this was the most blatant forced victory through officiating I have ever seen.

Filing a complaint won't work Home cooking happens all the time. L2M report is useless they won't reverse it. Reality is NBA is still a business and jazz in the finals may not be good for business. Maybe because we win too much and we play too nice. We need to be nasty.

If the NBA has any interest in fair play they would suspend the refs. Also interested to see what the fines will be.
Nah, the league will passive-aggressively "agree" with Donovan and Rudy that things got out of hand and that they should have stepped in sooner to control the situation, and as their first move of action, they'll step in to fine Donovan and Rudy to control the situation.

Every good boy needs to be taught a lesson.

Adam Silver: The reason we fined you guys is because you complained after my refs ****ed your team over. You're not allowed to complain when that happens.

Yes, it will be like when we got two technicals on a call that ended up being overturned.

The refs are Gobert's biggest enemy. He's too emotional towards refs and he really lets it affect his game. He's got too much Demarcus Cousins vibes when he reacts to calls.

I noticed that a lot of national media are tweeting up a storm about how horrible the reffing was. Perhaps Adam Silver and his henchman will be forced to do something.

Nah, won't happen. The only way anything would is if the owners came together to push the league for a change of some kind.

This is the kind of **** that makes me question following the NBA at all when they make it clear they only want certain teams winning. I'm sure the jazz going on a historic run and solidly being the best team in the league was not in the marketing plan, no that spot belongs to the Lakers, and hopefully the nets in the east, but they would have been happy with the sixers and the clippers. But sure as **** not the jazz. So something had to be done to reverse it. It strongly strengthens the conspiracy theories but it fits so well it goes beyond that being a joke and starts to bring it into the light of legitimacy.

I didn't even bother watching overtime because I knew it would take a miracle for the Jazz to overcome the Sixers with the way the game was being officiated down the stretch in regulation. I saw the string of terrible calls in overtime on videos over Twitter and it was just completely unsurprising.

It obviously would have been possible for the Jazz to overcome all of that and still win, but I just have zero interest in watching my team compete against garbage officiating. It sucks that I can already know, before overtime even plays out, exactly how it's going to go from an officiating standpoint. It's not even controversial to say that if we get into a close playoff series late against the Lakers - it's going to be a similar experience. That's just stating the obvious.

Crazy stuff. Totally forgot the context but tied 2-2 and hung in for a close game 5 despite getting screwed by officials.

I think it is more about stars than markets... but markets can obviously be motivational factor.

One of the worst referee deep dicking was the Miami vs. Dallas finals where Wade got every BS call all series. This was before Lebron. I loved watching early Wade and was a fan but even I was thought it was completely unfair.

The last two minute report confirmed it was correct. Remember when I told everyone those things were ********?
LMAO, the last two minute report says Mitchell wrapped his arm around Simmons' leg on that play.

The L2M's have always been a sham, but holy hell, they aren't even trying to make them seem credible anymore.
