2024 NBA Draft Mega Thread

I watched Kentucky play Auburn a few days ago.....Shep and Dillingham are really small. I think Shep can be like FVV on defense, but there's a reason why so few small guys are positive defenders in the league. Dillingham will almost certainly be a negative defender (and maybe a big one), but he's easily one of the best offensive prospects in this draft.

We can only dream that our 2 picks came true. Getting Tyler Smith and DJ Wagner with our late 1st and early 2nd picks would be awesome.

Shep is small to you? He’s average size for a guard and is a good defender anytime I watch.

Yes he's small. 6'3 seems very generous and his frame is small anyways. Same for Dillingham. Like we were dragging Cason for being small last draft cycle. Cason's frame looks much bigger than these two.

Good defender does not equal big. I literally stated I think he can be a good defender.

Sorry when I hear small 6’3 isn’t what I think about. You’re comparing him to FVV on defense. A guy who’s 3-4 inches shorter.

Sheps size isn’t ideal but i doubt he gets picked on. I think hes a plus defender and maybe great on that end as a point of attack disruptor. I doubt we are considering him seriously but I hope we do. Not ideal with Sexton and Key but not sure if Collin is viewed as a long term keeper and shep can still get on the court even if we do have those guys.

He gets picked on at the college level already. He's more of a help defender than a man defender at this point.

No elite skills, undersized, and bad shooter. What's not to like?
Haha, it's Keyonte George all over again for you. You didn't like him as a prospect so why would I expect you to like Wagner. He and Key are very similar and if we can get him at 31 it would be a steal.

They aren't similar. George had a rough year, but he was also 3rd in line for playmaking duties and he had an elite shooting form off the dribble.

Wagner has had everything handed to him yet he isn't good and isn't a winning player. To make matters worse the guys who back him up show you how much room there is for a guard who plays well on that team.
