What's new

Comparable rookie years to Keyonte's. (I thought I had linked just the PER 36 min section of each player) Just look at the rookie year Per 36 min

Exactly this. I'm surprised by the FG%-focused posts in this thread.

Year 1 TS% comparison:
Keyonte: .541 (and trending up)
Damian Lillard: .546
Donovan Mitchell: .541
Devin Booker: .535
Tyrese Maxey: .531
Dwyane Wade: .530
Jamal Murray: .518
Dante Exum: .457

There's plenty to work on, but the year 1 overall shooting numbers (and trend) for a player his age and size are not bad.

TS% down a hair to .540. Hopefully he finishes around .545.

I took some Ambien earlier tonight and it's settling in and I honestly can't type. I'm like 60% there? This is so bizarre I've seen why it's caused so many car accidents...
I wanted to say that while I understand why Dante Exum is on the list, it looks like he accidentally wandered into the completely wrong list among those names

TS% up to .549 and eFG up to .503 with 36.4% from 3. Crazy improvement.

FT attempts at 2.8 per game. If he can get that to 3.1 per that would be great. Then maybe 4.5 per next season. It’ll give up naturally because of presumably more time per game. But getting physically stronger should help too.

Keyonte is obviously one of our guys and potentially a top 40 type of player who fits the modern NBA.

It would be kind of ridiculous to keep Sexton on the team next to him. You really need to think about surrounding him with pieces that help elevate him.

The Jazz have some good "potential" pieces. All 3 picks from the 23 draft look decent. I
Key and Brice both need to improve on D. Brice and Taylor need as much in game experience as possible at this point. Ideally we will see as little as possible of JC, JCo and THT. I'd love to see Preston get some run. Potter too. Let the young guys play.

Your obsession with wanting to dump Sexton is strange. He is a great player on a great contract and is playing very well with Key. I'm not opposed to moving Sexton if the deal makes sense but I'm not going out of my way to move him right now unless it's a homerun type offer.

Yeah, incredibly strange to think about roster moves on a fan forum. Really wild stuff I'm doing.

There fact that people act like Sexton is this amazing player on an amazing contract and somehow can't possibly get a good trade return is some of the most hilarious copium Ive seen.

Go on ahead and throw out some trade proposals.

You aren't even thinking about roster moves. You just keep saying he is gone with no actual trade suggestions. That is what a fan forum is all about when talking about getting rid of players.
Arrest me.

Just trade Sexton. I think he's good enough he will return good value and he will be at peak value this off-season. It's not a disrespect thing like a lot of you babies want to try and twist it as.

I don't always agree with you, Cy, but whenever I do, I do so strongly. This is 100% right from my perspective.

I understand the long term fit concerns. Would just love to see examples of the types of deals that we could get done here. While he isn't perfect he is VERY productive and trading him for "value" likely means picks/prospects as I doubt teams are giving up two way wings (things that would fit with Key) for combo guards these days. Trading for picks and prospects means we are taking a step back short term. He's been what our second best player this year? What if Key has a rough sophomore year like Walker is having? Is Lauri cool being worse or about the same again?

Throw out some ideas. I don't think anyone is actually opposed to trading Sexton but it's stupid to say he's gone after every good game that George has without talking trade ideas. This is a message after all and that is what we love to do.

Everyone knows it's impossible to take picks/prospects from one trade and flip those in another trade.
