According to Sarah Todd on Bluesky it's actually his son, Omar Cooper Jr.
I'm sure there was a thorough vetting process and he just happened to be the best man for the job.

This is Sharife Cooper's twin brother. He averaged 1.7 PPG at McNeese State last year as a senior.

With all the stigma surrounding Ace Bailey at the draft, I think the Jazz are trying to get Omar Cooper to sing kumbaya here and turn a PR lemon into lemonade. SLC Summer League will be broadcast on ESPN, so you can bet they'll continue to spin some yarn on their Ace/draft narrative.
