If the suggestions are put into effect for the 2026 draft (and I very much doubt that they are), the Jazz actually have better odds at hitting in the lottery.

Beyond that, by all accounts and desires, the Jazz are done tanking after this year. They still have a bunch of superfluous picks and it would then be time to hope that a Jokic/Giannis/Shai/Donovan falls in their lap.

I generally think trading for a star is a bad idea, BTW.

Have to find the giannis, jokics, jimmy butlers, karl malones, john stocktons, kahwi leonards, Donovan mitchells, rudy goberts, gordon haywards etc etc etc and develop them and retain them pretty much. Make trades for dudes like carlos boozer and mehmet okur.

People forget that the jazz never used to tank and yet always were in the playoffs.
