the post we are referencing stated that the goal was now to put butts in seats and not to win championships. a championship may still be the goal, but it does not appear that we are trying to acheive the goal at all costs. Therefore it is probably not the ultimate goal. If we were chasing...
I'm not ready to start tanking. I am ready for the Jazz to fire Ty, Move Big AL and Start Favors. If all this is done and no improvement is made then we start manuvering in the draft.
I disagree, the reason we are getting our a** kicked is because Ty refuses to run an effective offense and defense. He also refuses to play the youngsters. If we did tank and somehow get Lilliard Ty wouldn't play him anyway.
He didn't say the Jazz were winning championships, douche. He implied that winning Championships is not necessarily the main goal. It was certianly the goal in the mid to late 90s.
It may ease your pain to know that Tinsley and Watson would be getting all of the minutes over Lilliard any way. Liiliard would be getting 5-10 garbage minutes per game until he put his 10-15 years into the league.
I don't see what living in a small market has to do with inept coaching and making trades. Generally Portland, San Antonio, Oklahoma City, SLC are considered small markets. They are all better managed teams than the Jazz. This is the pain of being a Jazz fan not a small market thing.
Did he provide any examples of the progress made? I believe that there are examples of individual improvements but overall as a team I see no improvement. I believe that we are in the same place we were last year. We keep hearing about how young the Jazz team is and that the team will get better...
you are absolutely correct, Hayward is way more consistent. he didn't have an out side shot the first half of last season and he doesn't have one now - super consistent, i wish he was less consistent.
I know that Tanjevic is not rated as one of the best Euro coaches. Seems like you may be over rating him a bit.

You Turks and other Euro's are rightfully proud of your Turkish players and thats cool and understandable. You also want to be respected for your knowledge of bball and thats understandable too. However standing up for a ranting coach who speaks prior to thinking is indefensible. Regardless of...

I love how fans from other countries come to JazzFanz because a player from their country ends up on the Jazz and then begins to tell us how superior their fans and coaches are in a sport created in the US, by Americans and dominated by Americans. Yes your superior knowledge regarding Euroball...
