Would you be ok with Corbin starting a new offensive system?

Not sure if this has been brought up before, but is there a chance that we haven't seen the offense (and defense for that matter) that Ty really wants to run? Between the partial season last year and the craziness that was this past season, there wasn't much time to really put in an offense...

    Amnesty Bell?

Are you sure that doesn't just apply to exceptions like the MLE?

    Lottery Standings

Actually they split combinations. There are 14 balls and teams are given a specific number of combination based on 4 balls being drawn at a time. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NBA_Draft_Lottery

    How about Jarrett Jack?

So far the names being thrown around have been: Rondo (highly unlikely), Calderon (he's 30 and there's no one to groom), Augustine (I'm taking Jack over him), Dragic (PHX gave him up when they knew they would need someone when Nash leaves) and Felton (has only played well in NY's system). So...

    How about Jarrett Jack?

With all this PG discussion going on, I don't remember seeing Jack's name much. He was scoring, rebounding and distributing the ball well before he got hurt. He seems to be returning to action. I'm throwing this trade idea out there: Jack and Ariza for Harris, CJ and the worse of our 2 1st's in...

    Mike Dunleavy, Jr?

I thought I heard him being discussed the other day by Locke and he was being compared to AK. Thoughts on bringing him in as a FA to play the 3 and/or 2? 3 years for $10M too much? I think him and Watson would round out the roster nicely.

would memphis have traded Marc Gasol for Dwill

I know Bucher's opinion around here isn't worth much, but he has said on at least one occasion that the Jazz could have got more for Williams if they made it known he was available. I disagree, but can anyone come up with a better deal that isn't unrealistic?

Al Jefferson - second best big defender in NBA?

Does anyone here want to see the Jazz trade Al? What is fair value for him? For example, IF Memo can play next year, is a deal based on Al for Granger realistic? What would make it good for both teams? Jazz save money the next two years, but have to take on an extra year with Granger's contract...

    2011 draft.....

Jeff Taylor, SF out of Vanderbilt sounds like a solid, all-around player. Maybe in the discussion at 12? https://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Jeff-Taylor-1351/ Jackson sounds like a good possibility at 12. Is anyone still liking Honeycutt out of UCLA? I am hoping that the Jazz move up with...

    Uninteded consequence of DWill trade?

I apologize if this has been brought up in a trade, but I thought it was worth discussion. From ESPN chat today: Ric Bucher (2:28 PM) It's not a matter of what a team is offering. It's a matter of where a guy wants to go. Melo proved that. Sure, Utah shipped off Deron -- but trust me...

Free Agent Shooting Guards Who do Jazz go after

Has anyone seen Denver's cap situation? They are in a great position to re-sign all of their (potential) free agents. Isn't it likely that Denver will just exercise the QO on Afflalo? https://www.shamsports.com/content/pages/data/salaries/nuggets.jsp

Free Agent Shooting Guards Who do Jazz go after

With player cap holds, the cap likely going down (or at least being harder to go over), potentially re-signing AK and possibility of there being no MLE, it seems like there may not be a way to bring these players in outside of a trade.

Beginning of a new era? Not the one you are thinking of

Ever think that was part of the reason they did this trade? By trading Deron, the Jazz save money this year and potentially the next two years (if Deron exercises his option year) when the salary cap is expected to go down and it will likely be harder (higher luxury tax?) to exceed the cap...

The Jazz are trading D-Will to New Jersey!?

Interesting stories out there: https://espn.go.com/blog/dallas/mavericks/post/_/id/4674832/mavs-coveted-harris-as-future-chip-for-williams Ryen Russillo chat today: Did the Jazz do any damage by Deron finding out about the trade on Sportcenter while he was in the Jazz gym? Ryen...

    Jazz atleast taking/making calls!

Dumping salary doesn't really do much good since the team would likely receive longer contracts in return, which, if you look at the Jazz' payroll for next season, is not a good idea. I would suggest that everyone check out this link before making suggestions on what the Jazz need to do with...

Warriors @ Jazz FSN 7pm MST

You are right, the Jazz were better last year, but do you really think that the FO planned on: Okur being out so much this year, losing Matthews, Korver and Boozer as well as Sloan stepping down? It has kind of been a perfect storm that has really hampered this season. Do you really think that...

You all have the picks situation wrong!!!

I guess we differ on opinion, but I don't think people in the know would be saying that some players are considering staying in school if there weren't players considering staying in school. In addition, many who cover the draft are expecting this to be a relatively weak draft to begin with.

You all have the picks situation wrong!!!

This is so absolutely true. I wish more people here would realize this when they talk about wanting to be in the lottery this year. We need to make the playoffs THIS YEAR, so we can have a 1st round pick in a stocked draft next year.

    The perfect trade.

I thought this would be pretty good from the Jazz' perspective, even though it means not giving Al much of a chance with the Jazz. Jazz Receive: Jeff Green, Kirk Hinrich, Anthony Randolph Jazz Send: Al Jefferson Read more...
