It looks like Isaiah Joe is the only one on this list that doesn't have a longer term contract. I've watched him enough to know that he could definitely take on a larger offensive role. Maybe OKC feels like they are going to have too many mouths to feed and is willing to let him walk (I doubt...
The other place that was getting mentioned was Dallas, but I don't think they have any cap space.
My best guess is that he goes back to LA. I think they find a new coach and pretend that it will fix everything.
Some national sports guys have been talking about Lebron to the Sixers.
I'm looking at their cap space for next year and they should be able to swing that. Their only problem is that they have almost nobody under contract, so they are going to need to sign a bunch of guys.
Alright my big board is taking shape and I'm starting to see groups/tiers forming.
My top 4:
1. Sarr
2. Williams
3. Risacher
4. Castle
Defensively limited guards who I think will be really good, but hope the Jazz don't draft:
5. Dillingham
6. Shep
7. McCain
8. Topic
Guys who can do some...
It seems like every top prospect has some huge red flag. Locke was talking about how Castle, Buzelis, and Holland are some of the worst shooters he's tracked over the last 5 years and that basically nobody with their shooting profile has done much in the league.
It would obviously be great to move up in the draft, but if you only get to move up in one draft, this might be the worst one ever. The whole top 10 or so is very flat.
Probably the one time where there is an advantage to being on EST vs PST. I believe the lottery starts at 8pm my time, which should be after any mother's day dinner/festivities, I should be in the clear.
The Draft lottery is 10 days away on May 12th (Mother's Day) .
Dear NBA, my Mom has asked for a top 4 pick for the Jazz for mother's day. Please do not disappoint her. Please also note that this will be her requested mother's day gift for 2025 and 2026. TIA.
I understood and wasn't disagreeing with you.
I think Luka will still be the best offensive player of that group in 5 years. The others might already have a better impact on winning than him because of their defense.
The main thing with Luka is he doesn't impact his team on both sides of the court like the others you mentioned, but as far as being an offensive force, I think he's still way ahead of them.
I wonder what Miami does from here?
I'm guessing they try and run it back and hope for better health, but that Rozier trade was dumb in my opinion.
I wouldn't mind taking Jovic off their hands...
FWIW, I don't worry too much about off the bounce shooting numbers from one and done guys. Younger guys are usually not good at this and usually get better as they develop. I also think the more interesting number is the volume rather than the percentage. The volume helps you to put in to...
I really think the whole point is that you can only develop so many young players and so we don't want to over extend our ability to develop guys properly. At least that's where I think he was coming from.
