Can we get Coach Dale to help us learn how to move the ball at the end of games when we need the best shot, not just the shot the heroes can force up from 30 feet with 2 seconds on the shot clock and 3 defenders coming at them while 4 other guys stand around and watch?
Almost every breakdown we have starts with one of 2 things: defensive lapses and/or lack of ball/player movement on offense. This leads to sloppy play, then turnovers, then frustration and less focus on defense, then more sloppy play, it is a vicious circle.
Can we just get them to pass the ball a minimum of 4 times before shooting? Drill that in so we minimize hero ball.
Then we need Bobby Knight to come throw some chairs when they miss their defensive assignments.
These double-digit collapses are getting very old. But it does make it very very obvious that Rudy is far and away our best and most impactful player, without question.
Don is the flashy smiling face of the franchise, Rudy is the beating heart and soul of the team.
