Lmao. Me and one of my close friends had a bet last year, to see which one of our teams would make the last seed. It was back when the Jazz were still a couple games ahead of the lakers, and had the tie-breaker against them as well.

Loser had to wear our friends' team gear for a full day. The blonde-headed **** in that picture is a die-hard Laker fan.

Orlando's shaved 16 points off the deficit since halftime, maybe we pull to within 1 game of the 3rd spot with some luck.

Toronto would be two games in back of 8th place in the West and be on the outside looking in.

Stick them in the East and they're the #3 seed.

If Silver wants to mess with anything, I would support the top 16 teams record-wise getting in vs. this monstrosity in the East where teams are sub-.500 get to be swept by Pacers/Heat and you have to win 50 games in the West to even have a shot at the playoffs in the first place.

I think every sport should just put the best teams in the playoffs..... also, i dont think there should be east vs west and nfc vs afc and national league vs american leagues etc etc.

It lame thats its impossible for certain matchups in championships.

Imagine red sox vs yankees world series.

Or any of the great nfl rivalries meeting in superbowl (philly vs dallas superbowl. Broncos vs k.c., miami vs jets, chicago vs green bay superbowl etc etc)

I think in sports, the best teams should get into the playoffs regardless of divisions and they should seed them based off thier overall records.

I want the best teams and best matchups no matter what
