14th Tank Platoon

No it is not. Not even a little. I do think it is wrong to pin it on that single loss though.

I think that win was probably the most loseable of all of our wins though + was against one of our strongest tank competitors so it does stand out amongst our other wins a little

lol, that sounds an aweful lot like you don't agree.

Why? Winning that Orlando game was not more damaging than any of the Jazz's other 23 wins. I get why as it was off a clutch shot but at the end of the day it hurt us no more than any of those other wins.

I think the wins against Miami, Houston and OKC were more "loseable" but I see what you mean. This was far more dramatic.

On paper yes.

But in real life the orlando game might be the most loseable game of the year. Against a team in direct tank competition. It hurt more to watch us win that game than the others.
Add in when the wins hapoened.
Those wins you mention (heat, rockets, okc) happened when we were not this close to the top 3 so when they happened it wasnt as crushing.

You are arguing emotionally and I get that. That shot by Trey was killer. No contest. But when you step back and look at it than it is all the same.

Not sure if this has been posted yet.

If the Magic and the Jazz finish tied for the third-worst record, the winner of the random drawing could receive no worse than the sixth pick and would have the following probabilities, according to NBA officials:

• To receive the 1st overall pick: 13.80%.
• To receive the 2nd overall pick: 14.25%.
• To receive the 3rd overall pick: 14.55%.
• To receive the 4th overall pick: 23.85%.
• To receive the 5th overall pick: 29.03%.
• To receive the 6th overall pick: 4.52%.

If the Magic and the Jazz finish tied for the third-worst record, the loser of the random drawing could draft as low as seventh and would have the following probabilities, according to NBA officials:

• To receive the 1st overall pick: 13.70%.
• To receive the 2nd overall pick: 14.16%.
• To receive the 3rd overall pick: 14.49%.
• To receive the 4th overall pick: 8.51%.
• To receive the 5th overall pick: 32.37%.
• To receive the 6th overall pick: 15.51%.
• To receive the 7th overall pick: 1.25%.

If the Jazz finish 4th, which is where they currently are, their chances are as follows:

1st: 11.9%
2nd: 12.6%
3rd: 13.3%
4th: 9.9%
5th: 35.1%
6th: 16.0%
7th: 1.2%

Serena Winters: D'Antoni: "I think, if I'm not mistaken, it's the same number of ping pong balls. right? Don't they flip a coin or something?" It was and is more damaging since they are the team right above us in the standings. The losses you need the most are to the teams within 2-3 games of you in either direction. If I ask you would you rather lose to the Pelicans or to the Lakers you would choose Lakers so we wouldn't end up tied with them.

The win against orlando was a 2 game swing.

If we had lost we would have 23 wins and they would have 24. That is why it was so disappointing. Giving them a w is just as important as getting the L.
