Right now, it's hard to say that having Monroe and George wouldn't be better than what we have.
Greg Monroe also averages a career 29.5 MPG, only halfway into his second season. I am willing to bet that if Favors was drafted at 7th by the Pistons, he'd be putting up similar numbers, while being better defensively as well.
And quite honestly, it is unwise to call George the better player as of right now. Most people would consider Hayward as the better SG last season. Now, after two thirds into both players' sophomore seasons, people all the sudden think that George will be much better.
Fact of the matter is: Hayward is currently a better Career 3 point shooter, better FG%, better assist numbers, better free throw shooter, all while aerating less minutes over both of their young careers. George just has the edge on steals (meh), Rebounding, and PPG.
I still choose Hayward over George, and I will probably continue to do so unless Hayward becomes a sixth man, and George becomes an all-star
