These playoffs as a totality have been a huge let down, some decent storylines maybe but overall these games have sucked.

OKC and GS was cool

Even that one was only good for a few games and featured multiple blowouts.

Time for the league to dump this 8 WC and 8 EC teams. Just go with the top 16.

I have been saying it for years.
I think mlb and nfl should too. Put the best teams in and seed them as well as possible and see what happens.

If they get rid of conferences for the playoff seedings, then they would also have to change the scheduling (making each team play each other the same amount of times instead of playing conference opponents more).

Not necessarily.
They could just determine seeds as best as possible. Look at point differentials, east vs west, etc etc etc. There are a million stats these days. Let some stat nerds crunch some numbers (they love doing that ish) and come up with the 16 best teams and seed them accordingly.

That's 7 straight wins vs Cavs for GSW if counting last season finals and this season regular season. Cavs have less and less confidence they can even win a game not even speaking about series. Total domination.

They could just determine seeds as best as possible. Look at point differentials, east vs west, etc etc etc. There are a million stats these days. Let some stat nerds crunch some numbers (they love doing that ish) and come up with the 16 best teams and seed them accordingly.

I would be fine with that.

I would hate determining seeds by anything other then W-L record. Doing anything else never would have even crossed my mind.

Then it's impossible and we will continue to get finals mismatches and teams that might not deserve to be there.

I think the ncaa tourney works pretty well and doesn't go by win loss record. And I know it's Apple's to oranges but until you try something you never know whether you might like something.

Why is it impossible? Right now each team essentially plays each conference foe 4 times and every opponent from the other conference 2 times; just change it so every team plays each other 3 times instead. Then you take the top 16 teams. Seems pretty simple.

Will Gobert even be able to play as the league evolves?
Not sure how a team should be built.

Simple: everyone needs to be able to shoot, create their own shot, pass like a guard and switch on defense.

The way to beat GSW is to dominate the boards, score a ton in the paint and defend with a lot of length on the perimeter. OKC would have done it if they could have gotten more offense from their center position. One of the Warriors' losses came to the T'wolves when they simply couldn't stop KAT.
